Michelangelo Designs — Local services in Passaic

In 2015 I went to get furniture with my designer at the time, Yelena Galitskaya, had a nice viewing and Mona showed us nice pieces that I purchased. I left them to finalize the pieces at the store we picked together, and after 7 years started noticing cracks in the chairs. Fourteen different chairs were purchased, everything was picked in matching leather, no mention of faux options ever came up in the discussion. THERE WAS NO QUESTION ABOUT FAUX LEATHER (eco etc) SAME LEATHER WAS PICKED FOR ALL ITEMS, PRICE WAS NOT QUESTIONED. Large pieces such as sofas and arm chairs are holding up and that's why 2 stars were given. When questioned about fakes the store came up with a hand written receipt that didn't mention chair finish and said we ordered fake leather starting at about $700 a piece and up, so nothing was incorrect. Please be warned, when you order and check that everything is written and on delivery, I was apparently tricked. Nobody in the right mind would order these chairs with Compar, made in Venice Italy print on the bottom at those rates, faux leather is on Amazon at a tiny fraction in cost. This place has some really nice furniture however Fred who I believe is the owner is borderline abusive and so arrogant in the way he deals with customers. Rushes you through the process of ordering so much so that when the item finally arrives you realize that a mistake was made in the way the item was ordered. The worst part? Fred takes no responsibility and acts like he's doing you a favor and in the process incorrectly documenting your order. DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ON HERE because this guy does not deserve your business and I see quite a few customers have complained about the same issue. Time for this guy to retire and let someone who knows how to provide good customer service take over. We ordered over $60,000 worth of furniture and he would not admit the mistake he made. We clearly stated what we wanted but he would not take any responsibility for the mistake he made. DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK HERE AGAIN AND WILL TELL OTHERS TO TAKE THEIR...
