Saint Francis Cemetery — Local services in Pawtucket

My family plot at St. Francis has my grandfather/grandmother, my Dad who died in 1968 and my Mom who passed in 2013. Living in close proximity, I am able to visit often. Throughout the years I've placed live plants there and more often than not find them gone within a few days. I've called the office there and the response I received was, "they like your flowers." Our stone is not in the most highly travelled area so I resigned myself to the fact that it is very easy to pick up desirable plants without being seen.

Today I went to say a prayer and of course, the Christmas decorations were gone, I understand the rules but what really upset me was the fact that a flag that I placed there for my Dad was gone. We also have a plaque there commemorating his service in the Marine Corp. Looking around there were "many flags" (thankfully) still at different gravesites. But, the one to honor my Dad, a serviceman who was at Iwo Jima and wounded during his four year's of service was gone! In haste to scoop up Christmas decorations for loved ones was our flag collateral damage?
