If I could have given "Mediocre Miami" no stars, I would have. Wished I saw all of these reviews before I bought anything from this atrocious place. As one reviewer said, the furniture looks modern and snazzy at the showroom, but what you get, when you get it, is the worst craftsmanship ever. The reason I said, when you get it, is because they LIE when you go to purchase. I ordered a sofa in November of 2013, that was supposed to be IN stock, as I was moving into an apartment in December of 2013. I was ensured on multiple times during my purchase, that I would receive it way before that moving date. Needless to say, I was so embarrassed to have guests over, because there was nothing for them to sit on until March of 2014. Absolutely unacceptable! Modern Miami my foot! More like backyard garbage! Oh and of course when you call and you are obviously irate, they get more upset than you do. Forget about wanting to talk to the person you dealt with who gave you absolute assurance of timely arrival. They are "never there." So I received this sofa March 2014 and of course when I do get it, it's so poorly made. I should known given the bad start I had with this company. So, if you paid $1800 cash for a sofa (I spent $4000 there), you would expect some degree of nicety/class/craftsmanship. Of course, I wasn't expecting Italian leather but money paid for something is still money paid, especially when you are assured of quality and everything looks so wonderfully done in the showroom. Anyway, so I decided to "battle" (yes battle as they are very rude/crass) with them again over this. I couldn't return the sofa as I live outside of the United States, so I was given back half of the money for the sofa. I would have said nice of them, but fast forward to 2015. Not even a full two years later and I'm embarrassed again to have people over to my place as the sofa started to peel. Really badly!!!!!! So much so, there's black pieces of fabric (supposed to be bonded leather) all over the ground where the sofa sits. I wish I can upload pictures on here. I have to lay a blanket over so that no one will see the cheap, disgusting sofa. Modern Miami was the worst decision I ever made. I wish I never went to them and I really hope I can save other people from making the same bad decision i made. Don't be fooled by the snazzy showroom. All that glitters isn't gold. Clearly. Now I'm stuck having to spend money to redo the entire sofa. However, as it may cost more to redo than to purchase another set altogether, I think I may just throw it out or give it to someone less fortunate. Even though, I wouldn't wish that atrocity on them. Modern Miami, you are a waste of time and hard earned money, you are no better than the average robber on the road. The only difference is that people don't know they are being robbed until after. At least, the one on the road has the decency to let the person know they are being robbed. Thief with a smile...initially... Is what you are. I will never purchase anything from you again, not even a cup. You aren't worth it to give $25,000 of my currency again and I hope other people learn. Read the reviews people. Save yourself the hassle and trouble...

I have to state that the owner response is a complete lie. Owner stated that we contacted store 1 month after delivery. In fact, we called the next day(less than 24 hrs after delivery) to report the problem. If anyone is interested we can share screenshots of our communication with the sales person showing the time and date of each message. We also documented every attempt to get someone on site as promised by the customer service. So what owner said about 1 month is simply deseption. The company itself assembled furniture and removed original boxes, so there is no way to keep them. We also took video showing how those chairs are dangerously unstable. The company is not only lacks basic customer service, but also lies to cover absence of any responsibility towards their clients. Instead of trying to address the reason for so many 1 star reviews his company received, the owner is exercising in creative writing. Good luck with that! You are going nowhere.

Honestly this is the first review I write, but I was so outraged about the way we were treated, that decided to share my experience. Set of bar stools that was ordered was simply defective. In fact it was a hazard to use it in the office due to lack of stability. We called the store and asked to address the issue. We spoke with multiple people, store manager told us that we someone will stop by to check the problem next day. It did not happen not the next day, not even 1 week later! Despite us calling with reminders every day! After 2 weeks of waiting, Modern Miami furniture offered us 65% refund for the furniture that was defective at time of delivery!? I didn’t want to waste my time and energy to even bother but I have to express my horrible experience. Vadim, I purchased a bed from this store. I paid you $600 upfront. My husband spoke to you on the phone and gave you the measurements of the elevator and you said that will work, meaning that the elevator was big enough for the bed to fit. I paid you the rest of the balance a day before the delivery. I got rid of the old bed the day before the delivery and had the mattress on the floor. Your guys came the next day and didn’t even bother calling me or my husband to come downstairs. They said they tried putting the bed in the elevator. When I looked at the security cameras they were there for 5 minutes they packed up and left. Just a little after that my husband spoke to you on the phone and asked if there was another way for you to bring the bed up, take it out of the box and try it in the elevator you said no it won’t fit we don’t that it’s company policy the bed is too big my guys are professional they know what they are doing. Ok fine we believed you. Well guess what your guys didn’t even try enough because I got that same bed from that same warehouse but from the different store. You said that you will give us a full refund and won’t charge us for the delivery, but we only got a partial back, i was calling you twice to ask for our money and the second time you even didn’t want to talk to me and hang up, i don’t see why ,i was just asking for the refund that takes 10 days and you said you will expidate, when I texted you why are we not getting a full refund you never texted back or bothered to call me to explain what happened with the rest of the money.
