Save A Lot — Local services in Pennsville Township

I really don't like when I have to leave a negative review but when it comes to Save A Lot I do. Yes, if in a pinch they do have the necessities but in many ways they aren't any cheaper than Acme. Sure some things they do offer at a lower cost but for me personally that isn't everything. I like that they advocate on you bringing your own bags with you or they will charge you per bag, I think it's like 6¢ ea. The main thing that got me upset was that when my son and I stopped in there to pick up things for dinner. We were both sick, as was my wife and other son at home and we didn't want to travel to far from home. So we collect everything we needed except the main course, Salisbury Steaks. We get to the frozen aisle and find that the coffin coolers where the Salisbury Steaks were are down and no products to be found. I went and asked a manger and he told me that they were broke and they didn't know when they'll be fixed. Ooookay but I only need 2 Salisbury Steaks! Sorry and he walked away. They weren't busy at all and this guy couldn't even go in the back to grab me what I wanted to buy. SO that was that, we dropped everything we were carrying right there and angrily...

This is a nice clean store that when you only need a couple things quick and are in the area it is worth checking them out. You can usually park relatively close to the door so if you have kids with you there is a lot less chance of them running in front of a car as there is in other larger store parking lots where you have to walk forever to get in. They have a good supply of the products they sell and the quality of everything I have bought there has been on par with the bigger name brands offered at other stores it just doesn't have the higher price. Try to remember to bring some shopping bags if you are getting a large order as there is a nominal charge for the bags...

Returned rotted produce to Save-A-Lot ask to speak with manager, thin face man said he was the manager. Was argumentative insulted me when I showed him the bag of rotted oranges and the rotten celery told me to leave the store and very loudly said if you don't leave I will have you removed by the police. I will never go back to the store again they sell bad produce at regular price I also bought ground chuck 85%. Was dark brown in the middle covered up with fresh meat. I used to enjoy shopping there.
