I just had an appointment with Vanessa. She cut my bangs. She never parted my hair, didn't separate the section, didn't style it, cut it way too thin, and made it extremely slanted. I thought she would've done a decent job considering a showed her a reference picture, of ME when I had gotten them done there the first time. Time to find a new salon to start going to. Edit: replying to the response. So she never suggested that my hair be washed, because my hair wasn't "unclean" as you claim. Also I showed her an exact picture of what I wanted, but even if I didn't, that wouldn't explain why she cut it extremely slanted. It was an overall bad trim even without any reference to what I wanted. I did decline your offer to have it fixed, because I simply can't trust the salon anymore especially considering this is the type of work you stand behind. I won't bother with a refund either because 10$ is not worth my time. This post is just to let everyone know my experience. But thank you for your very late response to the post.

I am new to the area and was very excited after reading the reviews. My hair is kind of a challenge because it’s very very thick and very very curly and I had not had highlights since September of last year. I thought everything was going well, but after the foils came out, I was turned over to a person who had been at the salon for two days who was not adept in blowouts. She kept getting her fingernails, comb, brush stuck in my hair, but she was a young lady who is new to the area also and is pregnant with her first baby. So I didn’t say anything. I just feel like the original stylist should’ve taken me through the end of the service. And it was a little pricey to have a really bad blowout and my highlights are just kinda OK. I feel like I’m striped. Then the gal put a texturizing spray in my hair at the last minute, which made it even more Tangly. And you can still see my gray hair. But The Salon is beautiful. They have great products which smell wonderful and they’re very friendly.

I took an elderly disabled lady (I’m a Lyft Driver) to this place because she thought she had scheduled herself an appointment for a haircut online. When I arrived with her, I could not even find the entrance. It was actually located between two other businesses, but the staff has a clear entrance at the back of the building. Not only was my ryder disabled and using a walker, but I have lupus and cannot walk distances either. But I knew what I had to do to make sure that my elderly rider was taken care of first. When I pulled the door open to the beauty salon, I could see one maybe two stylist that were with customers and then I seen a young girl to my left at the front door entrance who I guess was the appointment scheduler. I said I have Mrs.S out here and she’s using a walker and I don’t think she’s gonna make it this far to your front door. Should I bring her to the back entrance? The girl just kept looking at me staring at me with no response at all she was not giving me any kind of resolve and I was getting frustrated quickly because I myself was in pain standing there waiting on her to answer. After asking her several times what she wanted me to do, I just turned around and went back out to my truck and made my own decision and it was that I was going to turn my truck around so her door was facing the business and I would walk her and help her to that front door myself. I’m just the Lyft driver now. It’s way out of my job description to make sure that this nice elderly lady who is using a walker makes it to the door of this business, but this is what I do and have done my entire life. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø some of us are givers, and some of us are takers. So just as I’m about to get out of my truck and come around on her side to help her out the girl and a lady came to the truck and said to her that she didn’t have an appointment. They did not see her on the books with an appointment And Miss S said well I called and I thought I made an appointment online. Do you know this is the point of the story, where I am shaking my head thinking, after all that trouble that Miss S went through to come get a haircut. ALL she wanted was a shampoo and a haircut and she chose YOUR business out of every other hair shop in Pensacola. Do you know this business would not accommodate her? 😔 I was so upset. I almost shampooed and cut Miss S hair myself. I do have a cosmetology license… my license is just expired. šŸ˜Ž AnyWho, I just want this business to know that was a huge mistake because Miss S lives in a building with about 50 to 60 other elderly people that also need haircuts and shampoos. 🤣🤣 oh and by the way her ā€œwould beā€ stylist? Probably missed out on a great tip. I know miss S took good care of me.. y’all better let Miss S get her hair washed and haircut when she’s ready because these elderly people took care of us when we couldn’t take care of ourselves. They should’ve brought Miss S in & cut and shampooed her anyway . So because you turned her away, YOU get a one star. These young people today don’t understand how to get up out of their seat when an elderly person walks in the room or how they need to ask ā€œhow highā€ if she says JUMP! You gone learn today! ...

I came in to have my grown out roots bleached and toned to match the rest of my hair & I left with yellow roots and a botched haircut. The entire appointment felt rushed and my hair was left unfinished. For my case the bleach process should have required foils but no foils were used. I wasn’t made aware of the discoloration in my hair until it was being blow dried and I wasn’t warned prior to the bleaching process that there was a risk of discoloration, had I known that I would have opted for highlights. ā€œI didn’t use a high enough developerā€ was what I was told when the yellow / brassy result was being explained to me. As for the haircut, I showed two different reference pictures for how I wanted it done. I could feel that my hair was being cut differently than how I’d asked so I showed the reference picture again while it was being cut. I went home to discover extremely uneven lengths & long pieces that were missed. ā€œI didn’t revise the haircut because you looked ready to get out of thereā€ was what I was told when I expressed that I was disappointed with it. I called a few days later to explain how I felt about the appointment overall, explaining that I wish to be reimbursed since I paid for a service that shouldn’t have resulted in less than subpar. They told me they do not offer refunds, but that I could come back to have my hair revised with toner free of charge. Toner isn’t permanent and doesn’t lift the hair color - my hair is too delicate now to go back and have it bleached again. I’m not one to ever leave bad reviews but I really wish I had my money back.

Edit in regards to salons response: I had gotten highlights multiple times with hair + co prior to my last appointment there which resulted in yellow discoloration & banding (which occurred on the previously highlighted area) . the visit to a different salon that I went to a year ago is irrelevant. Monetary reimbursement would be better suited being that as mentioned by you, I was a customer for over the course of a year, and was met with paid incompetence and a sub par...

I am new to the area and wanted to blend my Gray hair so I don't keep touching my roots. My hair is coarse and thick. I called before hand and asked If they have someone that can take care of my hair type. I explained how thick, curly and coarse my hair was, she said Marissa was great with my hair type. I got there, showed Marissa what I needed, she was scared and asked Vanessa to talk me out of it. I should have left but instead i trusted the process. My first mistake was Saying I had no budget. She took advantage of that and charged $550. My roots had a different color then the rest of my hair. She gave me few strands of highlights and mostly low light. She didn't know how to cut curly hair and the worst part is she didn't know how to dry it. I left the place with damaged hair, horrible color. I felt bad and paid her even gave a tip. I was there for almost 5 hours. Moral of the story is, they should have been transparent on the phone and say we can't do it. Also they need to have stylist that understand different hair type as mine wasn't damaged when...
