What a treat to discover Brew Ales while visiting Perham! We were warmly greeted by staff immediately upon arrival. We chose to sit on the patio because it was a beautiful and quieter than indoors. It was a lovely, albeit very warm, day. We had a nice spot with an umbrella, the breeze was blowing and the Rhubard Mule hit the spot! Our waitress Jasmin was so attentive! When we ordered we quickly and casually mentioned we were sharing the main course and she caught that. Because when she brought all our food she had the kitchen split our main entree (which was delicious!) on separate plates! I was very impressed with her enthusiasm and attentiveness on such a hot and humid day! The main entree we shared was a pulled pork sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. The side sauce with those fries was outstanding and so different than the typical ranch dressing. It was a sweet, creamy, maple flavor with a kick. A wonderful addition to try with sweet potato fries! I also have to mention I noticed a staff named Matt assisting the patio table further down from us and he brought all the children at that table extra beverages with kids (without the customers requesting it) and I heard the family remark how thoughtful that was and how impressed THEY were with his thoughtfulness. Thank you Brew Ales for not just making delicious food and drinks, but for hiring such top notch individuals who clearly care about their customers well beyond just serving them food. What a wonderful afternoon you made it for us!

Great service and food came out very quickly. We started with the Gouda pickles and they were good (the chipotle aioli was the star) but they were a little underdone. We got a Cajun chicken sandwich and a fun-guy burger (mushroom and Swiss). They looked so good we started eating before I got a picture! The Cajun chicken sandwich had a great flavor but my husband from Louisiana said it definitely wasn't Cajun šŸ˜‚ The fun-guy burger was delicious and the fries were well cooked and seasoned. Great variety of beers on tap, too, and looked like some delicious seasonal cocktails. They lacked dessert options but we were too full anyhow. Will definitely be back the next time we're in the area!

Great to see that smaller towns can support such a nice place. As soon as I walked in and sat at the bar, I was greeted by Charlie the bartender. He was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable about the drinks and the food. I enjoyed a Caesar salad (substitute iceberg due to the hysteria surrounding Romaine currently) and the roasted cherry tomatoes were perfection. Crazy how adding a seemingly simple step to the process makes a simple salad so much more enjoyable. Dinner was linguine with chicken and roasted red peppers. Portion was massive and the flavor was delicious. A good amount of sauce so no bite went without.

My boyfriend and I went on a little lunch date today and arrived and sat between 12:45 and 1, within 3 mins had our drinks and another 10 we had ordered our food. After about 45 minutes I realized that almost everyone around us had gotten their food before us even if they sat down after we did. An hour went past and our waiter came over and said that he apologizes but that the kitchen is ā€œswampedā€ so we said no problem thinking it would be another couple minutes. 10 minutes later he came back out with a menu needing to retake our order cause he forgot to send it in. and we got our food after yet another 10 minutes. The waiter was nice and I know everyone makes mistakes but we didn’t get any sort of discount or courtesy after waiting atleast 3 times the waiting time for our food. Many around us had came in, ate and paid and left before we even got our meal. Nothing more frustrating than being hungry and not being noticed without your meal for...

Inviting atmosphere from the moment our group walked in, be sure to bring your patience as it is a popular destination and seating is at a premium during peak times. We started at the bar and tried some of the signature cocktails and were not disappointed, in addition the beers on tap touch all the bases as there is pretty much something for everyone. The staff is on point, they were prompt, knowledgeable and well seasoned even under pressure of a busy evening. Once seated at a table, our server helped with making some fantastic menu selections. The food came out of the kitchen quickly, had a nice presentation, was prepared as ordered and hit flavor notes that we longed for. I would not suggest bringing really young, tired or impatient children (or entitled adults). Do come if you are willing to have fun and enjoy this gem of an eatery. Our party agreed that this deserves many...
