I don't like to give bad reviews on local businesses but I believe this needs to be put out there. I go to International jewelry to sell some of the gold I have some times for extra money. I recently went and got the young woman who is the manager. I took jewelry into sell and was offered a very low offer. I know the offer wasn't right because I had just recently dealt with a young gentleman the day before and had gotten the same offer on jewelry that weighed less and was the same karat jewelry. She gave me a bad attitude for questioning her and told me to take my jewelry elsewhere so I did. I was offered twice as much at another Jeweler. The Jeweler told me there was no way the price she gave me was correct. I believe they are ripping people off who don't know how much jewelry is worth and this is not right. When I confronted her about it I got a bad attitude and was treated poorly. I can see if I was rude to begin with but I was not. I previously had my wedding band recreated by a jeweler in Port Clinton. The cost was well over $1000 to have it re-set and soldered. While the front was beautiful, the back of my ring was appalling. It was not even, it was not straight, and it was overall messy! The men at International Jewelry took one look and knew exactly what needed done! They fixed my ring, and shined her up nice, and checked all of the stones for me! They were super friendly and their attention to detail is out of this world! Patience has never been one of my virtues. I finally decided to size up a vintage platinum ring set that I owned but I didn’t want to have to wait 2-3 weeks to get them back. The gentlemen at International Jewelry were very friendly & informative. They advised me of exactly how the process worked & all the different options that were available. The jeweler was fast & professional and did flawless work, and best of all it was done right in front of me while I waited! He even tightened up a few diamonds that were loose for no extra charge!
