U Ramen. The U must stand for underwhelming, because that’s exactly what it was. We waited in a long line just to get to the cashier to tell her we wanted to sit down, that’s okay. After we sat, our server asked us if we wanted a water or a canned soft drink. I tried to order a specialty drink, only to be shot down immediately saying they were “too busy” and i wouldn’t even get a drink out in time. Very disappointing, as one of the reasons i looked forward to visiting was the bubble teas and smoothies. I would have waited. We ordered our food, 2 appetizers and 2 bowls of ramen. The wait on food was very long for what they were serving, about 45 minutes before anything hit the table at all. The ramen came out before the appetizers, and then we were missing one of our apps. As soon as we asked about it, he ran to the kitchen and came right out with it, which makes me wonder how long it sat in the window for. I got the Korean Shin Ramen, which came with no kimchi and no spinach on it. My partner enjoyed the takoyaki and said it was the only good thing about the meal. He complained his ramen broth was very bland. About 10-15 minutes before we got our food, i noticed tables around us receiving specialty drinks. Every table had at least one, except for us. No one even asked me if I wanted one or let me know that they were accepting drink orders. The server didn’t apologize about the wait on food and only checked on us if he thought we needed more water. Overall VERY disappointing and...
Read moreWe usually get some sort of take out on Tuesday (often times Asian take out) but this place was one we have never tried, so I proposed we should. I definitely do not regret coming here, although we spent way more than intended to try a few appetizers and the sticker shock hit us a bit hard- but what you get for the price of anything is worth it. The ramen bowls are actually massive, for a 13 dollar bowl of ramen. The Boba tea is great, the ramen is great, the Thai donuts are to die for. The crab Rangoon comes with a chili sauce to dip it in, and they're delicious too. The Thai donuts have a sweet creamy sauce I don't know the name of. AND if you cannot finish your ramen when dining in, they give you to-go soup cups to take the rest home. I got the tonkotsu ramen with pork, and I'm not sure how they prepared the pork, but it was VERY good pork with lots of flavor, and the texture was way better than expected for soup pork.
Service wise- everyone was very friendly, the wait staff was VERY attentive to our needs but didn't bombard us, so it was a pleasant experience. It wasn't super busy when we went, however, so your mileage may vary if you squeeze in on a super busy night, as is true of just about anywhere else.
If the idea of actually going to a ramen restaurant is interesting to you, you probably will be glad you went. If ramen isn't your thing, they have rice and stir fry noodles too. Don't hesitate to try...
Read moreWhile visiting one of the waterpark resorts, we decided to give U Ramen Noodle a try because of their high reviews and they didn't disappoint. We did take out and our food was prepared fast and hot. Prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly. I Highly recommend this place. I didn't try any Ramen noodle soups which I think this is their signature dishes.
Crab Rangoon: On the sweet side which is how I like the Crab Rangoon. Japanese rice bowl with chicken. Lots of flavor My wife liked this one more than I did. Chicken fried rice: Very good which had a hibachi taste very flavorful. General Tso's Chicken: Chicken was very good and crispy. It had a sweet and savory taste and it wasn't too spicy. Korean fried noodle with shrimp: Very good which had same style hibachi taste as chicken fried rice but only with noodles instead. Chinese Kung Pao chicken with white rice: Mild spicy chicken not breaded with thin slices of zucchini. White rice was nice and sticky. overall ok. I would recommend Crab Rangoon, Chicken fried rice, Korean fried noodles. Overall highly...
