Prices are usually higher than other places in town. I find the store hard to navigate, with items that I'm actually looking for set as end-caps, rather than in some dedicated space. They're often out of store-brand options, with only name-brand options available.
The fresh produce section looks pretty, but is usually out of stock on anything I want to actually buy.
The parking lot was designed by a lunatic who loves chaos and hates convenient parking. I have no idea why it was laid out this way, or why they hate Perkins Avenue so much.
As others have mentioned, be prepared to wait a long time to check out, even if you use the self-checkout option. I have also had the experience of ringing up an item at a totally different price than it was marked in the aisle (I'll admit that this may be a mistake on my end, but it happens more here by far than at any other grocery store I visit.)
However, they do stock certain items that other stores in town don't, so I find myself returning. Occasionally, too, sale prices will draw me in (just be sure to comparison shop!). And every time I am here, the staff, particularly the Pharmacy, are very helpful and kind.
Overall, not my favorite store, but the occasional stop is a necessary evil.
Edit: If you have food allergies, don't even bother. Anything packaged in-store (i.e., sushi, deli meat, anything from their cool cheese case, etc.) has a label stating that it may have come into contact with every allergen under the sun. While I appreciate the thoroughness of the warning, it would serve me far better for them to actually set up their store so that people with allergies and intolerances can actually eat...
Read morePretty good shopping spot. Very shopper friendly! When making a request for certain items. They're great at seeing that the items you want, are put on the order list. I've requested 2 specific items. And they've hit the mark both times. #1 Mango popsicles, 😋 delicious! #2 chocolate cookie crumble Kroger brand ice cream.😋 again delicious! I fill my bowl of ice cream w/milk to the rim. It's just way too sweet! So the 2 together compliment each other perfectly! The other day I went to check to see if they had any. And just by chance I seen a stocker w/his cart. And I seen he had a bulk package of ice cream. So I said to him chocolate cookie crumble ice cream. He opened it up and w/a surprised look and a smile. He said how about that, yep! I said to him it's a was a pretty popular item. I said 2 please! And he happily abliged. Thank you Kroger's & staff.🥇😎👌 Happy New year and many, many wonderful blessings to you and your...
Read moreI stopped at this location on 9/6/18 at 4:30 to pick up 4 roast dinners for family. I told the gentleman there I wanted a chicken breast and drumstick in each meal. He dished out 2 meals and said I have no more chicken breasts. I asked if he had more in the back... he replied “I don’t know.” I asked if he could find out... he went in the back and came out with a female. She looked at the pan of roast chicken, then stated “we don’t have roast chicken breasts, you can have fried” then walked away. I said hold up, she stopped and said it will be 30 minutes and kept on walking. I then pointed out the sign that shows dinners are available from 11 AM to 7 PM. How about you restock when you get low? Customer service was not good at all BUT VERY RUDE!!!! I don’t expect anything to happen though because we went to the self checkout register there were 2 employees just standing at 1 and there was a line of about 4...
