Modern Nail — Local services in Perkins Township

I’ve been to modern many times and never had a real issue although today I’m feeling a little bit disappointed. I asked for a wider coffin shape as they are a bit of a shorter set. (I’m having trouble finding words to explain so bare with me) the side walls were filed so far up my mail that it did hurt while filing this can be seen in pictures attached.The underside of the nails has a lot of left over acrylic stuck to my skin and pulling my skin off of it hurts quite a bit. I’ve done nails before so I understand this could a product of many different factors including some possibly being my own fault. The filing is very uneven on a few of the nails and leaves them sort of lopsided and awkward looking…as far as the acrylic in general it was applied very smoothly and would be nearly perfect if it wasn’t for the shape of them. One hand is much longer than the other they were not measured to be even and nails on the same hand look like they are too long to be in the set with the other fingers. Not an absolute nightmare experience but it’s safe to say I’m very disappointed with my visit today and will probably not be showing...

I’ve been coming here on and off since 2022. I always say if I go get my nails done there 5 times, 3/5 times are good, and the other two are bad. I call ahead and make a reservation and usually get stuck with a new person who majorly messes them up.

My last straw was today when I had a reservation and specifically requested someone who could do nail art. I was assured they would set me up with a nail tech who could do nail art. That couldn’t have been farther from the truth. All of my nails are different length and shape when I asked for almond and to keep them long because she cut them and shaped them so poorly. And the nail art was so bad I had to ask her to just paint the two nails a solid color while the other nails have air bubbles in them. My cuticles are raw and my nails are a disaster.

I gave 2 stars because they do have some talented nail techs here! But I don’t appreciate being lied to and having my nails looking like this when I have a family event coming up next week. Incredibly disappointed, I had wanted to make this...

This was my first time here and it was The worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon in my entire life. The first picture is what I asked for the second picture is what I got. Their customer service is just out the window they have none they are very rude and disrespectful. The place is not clean at all. I got a manicure with gel and a ‘design’ on my ring fingers and they charged me $70. When I went there they were supposed to shape them but the nails I had on they said they couldn’t do it with so they took off my other nails by ripping them off and cutting them and didn’t even soak them at all (which hurt very badly and I will put the picture of the nails that I had before done at Hollywood nails and spa behind Panera). I didn’t want to leave without having them fixed or paying less and they wouldn’t do either option, and got loud with me. They are honestly the most trash nail salon In the 870.
