I am sorely disappointed with this “fair”. I thought Ohio knew how to put on a good county fair. I’m from Youngstown and both of our county fairs are like 25x the size of this one and that’s not an exaggeration at all. There was absolutely nothing here for kids except a few animals to see. No rides. No fun games. We moved to Erie Co. in December and I was super excited for fair season and promised my 3 year old fun rides and games because I’ve literally never been to a fair in any state without these staple attractions. She left in tears because there was absolutely nothing to do. There were like less than 10 food vendors as well. Better off driving the 2 hours into the Youngstown area and going to the Canfield Fair where there’s 100+ food vendors, rides and games galore, big name events like Darius Rucker, and tons to see and do. Read moreI've been to a lot bigger and better fairgrounds in Ohio, but for it's size I'll have to say it's not bad. They've continually made improvements since my daughters were in 4-H in the 80's & 90's. Big improvements in the structures and paveing the walkways just to name a couple. Maybe some more paveing in areas and improving the grandstand by closing their backs with metal siding would give the fairgrounds a better curb appeal. Read moreI enjoy visiting different county fairs and this was a first for me at the Erie County Fair. Enjoyed all of the animals and the very friendly people there, especially the lady who greeted us when we walked in. Admission was by donation or free that day which was a nice surprise. This is a pretty small fair compared to others ive gone to, much smaller than Geauga, Medina, Cuyahoga county's fairs. Plenty of food and animals, not so many rides. We had a nice time, heard some...
