Lush Art — Local services in Perry

I've been going to Lush for a few months now and I can't say enough wonderful things about this business. I had never painted before but the classes are taught in a way that make it possible for ANYONE to follow along and create a work of art that they can be proud of. I am learning so much and having so much fun going to these classes. I go at least 2-4 per month because the prices are affordable (even for someone who is currently a stay at home mom) and I just love the Lush Art environment. It's very relaxing, quirky, fun, and filled with positivity. All of the instructors are different, so while I do have a favorite (hi, Cara!) I like that I get to learn different styles and techniques from different people. If one instructor doesn't work for you, take a class with someone else; you will find one who suits your style and needs. I hear people say all the time that they "would love to do that" but they "can't paint." Love this locally owned establishment! Highly recommend checking it out, even if you don’t think you can paint. The instructors take you step by step through the process while allowing you creative freedom to make each piece your own. Each instructor has their own style of painting as well so there is something for everyone’s taste throughout the month. This location is not a BYOB spot since Houston County does not permit that but they do have license to sell wine and beer! The attention to detail is seen as soon as you walk through the doors, this is a fun and positive environment to keep things low stress. The prices are fair, not more than what you would pay to get your nails done or a nice sit down dinner. This staff is always so nice & accommodating. I always have a GREAT time. They are willing to work with what ever color pallet you would like, give you pointers and help you correct mistakes that can happen. Each instructor has their own personality, but no matter who is teaching or assisting, they are willing to stop, come to your easel and make suggestions, guide you or encourage you to trust the process. Cara has done a wonderful job of hiring people who love what they do and help us learn the craft, learn a new technique or just have a great night.
