Clothes Mentor Perrysburg, OH — Local services in Perrysburg

Firstly, I would like to say that I have always had a good experience with the staff, they are kind and helpful. The store's selection of clothing to shop through is fairly good as well. So if you're visiting purely to shop, it's a great place to go. HOWEVER....do NOT try and bring clothes here to sell, unless you're trying to get ripped off. Or unless you literally just bought the item less than a year ago. Actually, not even then... because they probably STILL won't want to buy it from you, and if they do, you will be for far below what it's worth. I have tried selling multiple designer items here in great condition with original tags still on. For example I have been offered less than 20 dollars for a designer suede jacket with tags still on, originally worth over $375, and had a beautiful black authenticated CHANEL suit turned down because it was "out of style". And yet they can justify wanting one of my old t-shirts from the GAP? Iv'e wasted so much of my time trying to consign clothes here....please do not follow in...

I had called and asked someone if there was a tote limit and explained that my MIL recently passed away and I had 6 baskets full of clothes and 2 baskets full of purses to sell. They lady on the phone told me they had no tote limit. A few days later, I drove 45 mins to go sell the clothing items and the ladies in the store told me they were only going to accept 2 from me and that the process would take more than a day to go through. (Which I was not told either of that on the phone a few days prior) they then said they couldn’t “override the system” by allowing more than two. I’ve worked at a similar establishment and know that there is nothing you override, you just accept the items no matter the amount. I also had asked if my aunt could bring in two as well and was also shut down for that too. I ended up leaving with my two baskets. I feel like I made a wasteful trip with my 3 year old and newborn and was given misleading information...

I have been shopping here for years. First, the prices at this location are becoming obscene. I can find better used clothes for far less money. The other day I was in and the lady who checked me out said I should bring my unused items in to sell. I said I had tried before but everything was rejected despite it being name brand and in good condition. She assured me that they would be interested and that policy and staff had changed. So I brought in 2 totes of gently used designer clothing and was told they only wanted 1 pair of designer jeans they offered me an extremely low price for. Needless to say I was highly offended and frustrated that my time and effort was wasted. I have seen all the brands I was selling available for purchase in this location so I am confused as to how they get their inventory if they aren’t buying from customers.
