7 Little Cupcakes — Restaurant in Perrysburg

I cannot say enough good things about Erin & 7 Little Cupcakes!!!

My sister and I showed up to grab some cupcakes & cookies and make an appointment for my sister & her fiancé to have a wedding cake consultation. They were planning a wedding in about 4 months (not a lot of time but we had some unexpected issues come up so we do what we have to do). Erin went ahead and did the consult right there on the spot! My sister ended up taking Erin's professional advice and adding a tier (to be 4 instead of the 3 my sister thought would be enough). We had everything planned, paid for, and crossed off the list for the wedding cake before we left the shop. Such an amazing feeling!

I went to drop off the cake topper and also ordered some vegan cupcakes and gluten free cupcakes (in some of the same wedding cake flavors that my sister chose) for guests with special dietary needs. Easy peasy. What I also dropped off were a vine of pink flowers and a couple single purple flowers that we picked up at the craft store. When my sister picked them out, I liked the flowers but could not imagine them on the cake. I trusted Erin and her crew though so left it in her hands to figure out how to cascade them down the tiers. Lucky me, I bought myself some more gluten free chocolate chunk cookies while I was there. They're my absolute favorite things!

Fast forward to wedding day, Erin was prompt with cake delivery & delivered the specialty cupcakes I ordered. She had the wedding cake on a beautiful cake stand from her shop and the cake was adorned with all the unique elements my sister picked out AND IT LOOKED BETTER THAN I COULD EVER IMAGINE! ❤️

When the cake got cut for guests, it went faster than it could be cut! I'm really glad my sister took Erin's advice because we only had maybe 6 pieces of cake left after everyone was served (and a select few got seconds). We would've ran out if we had not taken her advice!

I personally brought home the vegan cupcakes that were left over (ordered 6 and only had 2 people request). It took all of my will power not to eat them. They were the chocolate raspberry in case you were wondering...and they were amazing!

I really feel the team at 7 Little Cupcakes went above and beyond what my expectations were for my sister's wedding though and I just had to share...

I am a home baker from Perrysburg who loves to try other people’s baked goods as a way to inspire my own baking. 7 Little Cupcakes didn’t even give me the opportunity to do that. I, and two friends, each have walked in on separate occasions to find the owner on her cell phone, completely oblivious to customers entering her store. We all snooped around for awhile, but after getting disappointed from the selection, as well as the rudeness of the owner, we decided it was best to just leave. Now mind you, I said this was three SEPARATE occasions in which this happened. All three times we were the only ones in the store, and the owner was doing absolutely nothing. I know how businesses work. As I mentioned I have my own home bakery, and this was just sad. My children can bake better looking cupcakes than they can at 7 Little Cupcakes. From people who actually have been greeted and purchased cupcakes, they all found them to be dry and flavorless. Check out her Instagram. I ordered cupcakes for a shower a week ago. 15 chocolate and 15 confetti. When I got to the shower the chocolate cupcakes were as ordered but the white frosted ones were not confetti. They were just plain white. I called 7 Little Cupcakes on Tuesday and it went to voicemail. I stated that the white cupcakes were not what I ordered and left my phone number expecting a call back. I didn’t hear from them by Friy so I called them back. I spoke to the person who took my order. She checked the order and said it did show confetti cupcakes requested but she couldn’t remember what was made and it was my word against hers since I didn’t have the cupcakes or proof of what I received. Then she stated that they taste the same anyway. The person the shower was in honor of, requested confetti. A 25% discount on the next order was what I was offered. No apology just, “People make mistakes “. I thought Erin was unprofessional and didn’t really care about...
