This was the worst online purchase experience I have ever had! More like -5 stars. I never recieved my items. After two hours of ordering. I went to the store to pick up my items. I purchased from The "Pickup today from store section". I go to the store. I ask for my items. There was only one item ready the others were back ordered or not collected. I explain that I am in a rush and need my items to get my Nephews Birthday party of which I am late. So the "manager" tells "Me" to go and collect the items from the shelves to fulfill my order. Again i explain I am in a rush. She says she cannot help me only if I go get the items then she can help me. So I go collect my items and return and she tells me I will have to repurchase the 2nd set of items. Because the others were backordered. I had the items in my hand that I collected myself from the shelves (no need for back order). I asked if I could just take the items and the store apply credit when back ordered Items arrive to the store. She says "No" I have to repurchase Items a second time. Again I ordered in the "Pick up from today from store" on the website. I have been at the store for an hour. I am late for my nephews party and I can not get the items I purchased, that was now holding in my hands. The "manager" makes me repurchase the items in the store. When my card declines because there's a identical purchase already. The manager tells me too bad and says, wait for the backordered items to arrive in 7 days. To remind you I have the items in my hand that I went and collected myself off the shelf. She says I can not have those items and tells me too bad. And and told to leave the store with no presents for my nephew. I spent over three hours shopping traveling to pick up. Collecting the items in the store myself because lazy ass manager refused to do her job. To be humiliated in front of other customers then told to leave with non of my items, due to a processing error with the website. You guys ruined a 4 year olds birthday and made me look stupid in front of the public. This was fraud. You took my payment and refused to provide the items I had a receipt for, I will only accept a full refund and compensation for my lost time and the humiliation I suffered. Then in Q1 2020 had my credit ruined over a $6 pair of socks I missed paying on when sick. Always pay balance in full monthly. Forgot the young lady who rang up a $540 transaction missed the pair of socks and added on separate transaction which had not posted when I paid the account. I paid the $540 which posted but did not see the $6 that hit the account the following day.
Got sick and was hospitalized. Did not login to the account for a couple months since I did not shop at the store and thought there was no balance to pay.
Without contacting me even once, no call or letter to the home (got ads multiple times per week to shop & spend more, they had my address & phone number...) they put a negative report to my credit for $6.
The first time paying late on any account for over 10 years.
I of course paid in full immediately when I was aware of the balance. Then submitted disputes to Kohl’s re: the negative report to my credit outlining that for years have always paid in full within a week of purchase and never missed a payment and kindly asked that they please remove the negative credit rating “late pay” since they neglected to advise me of the $6 balance prior to negative submission.
They reviewed, concurred with the excellent payment history and saw what I stated was accurate, and they had neglected to reach out even once prior to the negative report to credit, however refused to fix it and make it right.
My FICO dropped almost 100 points from 820 to 720, I lost a refi on my home and there was huge negative impact to my family as a result. Over a $6 pair of work socks.
I will never spend even a penny to support that corporation again. The hours I was on hold dealing with this, I listened to the audiobook recordings about how “kohls cares” and is customer focused, yet their actions do not back up that slogan or advertising Moto. They in reality could not care less about the customer.
2.5 years later, still the only late pay on my credit and STILL causes issues and pulls down my score.

Read moreGood Kohl's store. It's usually well staffed and kept clean and organized most of the time. The majority of the employees are friendly and efficient.
Good delineation of departments, clearly marked and stock is well maintained. They usually have what I'm looking for. Lots of sizes, colors, fabrics, styles, etc.
I appreciate how often they have sales and coupons available for 15, 20, 25 or 30% off. The best deals here are using Kohl's Cash, which you can earn during their frequent events. Combine your Kohl's Cash with 30% off your purchase for real savings, especially if your items are already on sale!
Large convenient free parking lot in front of store. Shopping carts and child carts available. Clean public restrooms and a customer service desk.
Returns are easy, especially if you have an account with them.
One negative comment. Black Friday was a mess here. Very poor management took place. Customers arrived to wait outside an hour before doors were scheduled to open and there was no delineation of a line or starting point. The first customers were over run by people who showed up one minute before opening.
Then they did not open on time, customers could easily see all the employees having a meeting and chatting in the front of the store until five minutes or more after their advertised opening time. Once in the store, especially in electronics it was a huge debacle. No staff, no instructions, no indication of procedures for customers to follow to get items that were behind closed doors. Many items advertised were limited stock, but nothing was set up to serve first comers. Tempers flared and it was a mess. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes and next year goes better. I'm not likely to risk the frustration there again.
