BETWEEN A FRIEND AND I 3 MACBOOKS WERE PURCHASED BY THIS COMPANY...NONE OF THEM LASTED OVER 6 MONTHS. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A MACBOOK 17" FROM THEM IN AUG...FIRST THING I DID WAS TAKE IT TO APPLE SO THEY CAN READ IT. APE TEK ONLY GOVES YOU A TWO MONTH WARRANTY FOR A REASON. I TOOK IT BACK AND HAD THEM FIX EVERYTHING FAULTY SO I WOULDNT RUN INTO ANY FUTURE ISSUES. HARD DRIVE, CD PLAYER, AND BATTERY WERE THE MAIN ISSUES. THEY WERE TRYING TO CONVINCE ME THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG EVEN AFTER EYE GOT CHECKED BY THE MAIN STORE WITH A MACHINE THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE. THE ONLY THING THEY DID NOT FIX WAS THE BATTERY BECAUSE THEY REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO DO THE WORK. I HAD A FEW ISSUES AFTER THE REPAIRS BUT THEN THE COMPUTER RELAXED FOR A WHILE...PLUS I NEEDED IT FOR MUSIC. FAST FORWARD IT TO NOW. THE COMPUTER IS TRYING TO COME ON BUT THE HARD DRIVE THEY REPLACED IS FAULTY ..AND SO IS THE CD PLAYER THEY INSTALLED..THAT HASN'T WORKED SINCE THEY "REPAIRED" IT. THEN WHEN I CALL TO GET RECORDS OF WHAT THEY DID, WHAT THEY PUT IN, THEY TELL ME THEY DON'T KEEP RECORDS AND AND THAT MY WARRANTY IS UP...AND THEN THEY WERE RUDE ON THE PHONE AND TRIED TO GET ME TO COME DOWN AND SO THEY CAN TRY TO FIX IT AGAIN AFTER I TOLD THEM THEY HAVE DONE ENOUGH. THE SUPERVISOR WAS CUTTING ME OFF WHILE I AM EXPLAINING WHAT HAPPENED AND THEN TOLD ME, THE CUSTOMER, THAT I HAVE 2 MINS TO TALK, BUT KEPT INTERRUPTING ME EVERY TIME I WAS EXPLAINING THEIR FAULTINESS AND INCOMPETENCE. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM...YOU WILL REGRET IT IN THE LONG RUN...TRUST ME...3 MACBOOKS IN..THE 3RD TIME IS THE CHARM AND STRIKE OUT...THEY WILL GET NO MORE OF MY MONEY AND IF YOU WERE SMART YOU WOULDN'T SPEND ANY MORE...
Read morethe year of 2022 I brung my laptop into Ape Tex for them to run a diagnostics, upon results I was told that my motherboard was the issue and that it could be replaced or I could purchase a new laptop due to the price of a new part. the tech insist that I bought the laptop with them and was even going to sell it for a discounted price. I decided to wait and get a second opinion. Then took my laptop to apple in willows grave which is a 30min ride vs the 7 min ride to ape tek. Apple ran a diagnostic and seen that all I needed was a new battery. One of my concerns are that I paid for a false diagnosis, steered to buy their product (which I didn't) and still left empty handed. I don't look to gain anything from sharing my experience with ape tex, however just to make people aware that you should always get a second opinion...
Read moreBeen going here for years but my last visit was a nightmare. I brought my iPad in for a screen replacement and got it returned to me in super sloppy condition. It want ready by the time they said it would be - causing me to make unnecessary drives over to the store and when it finally was ready I picked it up and took it home to realize the whole border of the screen had globs of glue all around the edges. Seems like it’s peelable but the more I peel it looks like it’s coming from under the screen so it doesn’t feel right to peel it. Can’t believe this is how they returned by iPad to me, especially for the high price they charged me. Sloppy work, find somewhere else to bring...
