As an extensive traveler for work, I stumbled across this Gem as a reference from one of my offices. Unaware of the lounge, I decided to visit on a Sunday. I visited on a night that was entitled “The MOCC”...A avid music lover, I was impressed by the raw talent, presentation, and authenticity of the night. I was able to see up and coming Music moguls all while have top shelf signature drinks for more than half off!
When leaving out, I was informed about a The first “Laugh Out Cry” comedy event that was coming on the upcoming Sunday. A couple of my colleagues and I visited on this night and I literally laughed till I cried! The ambiance and warmth between the staff through these events has made me share this gem.
After asking about who facilitates these events, I was informed that the CEO of “1stPhilly”; Sandman aka Sandcannon; oversees numerous social events at this location, and throughout the Tri-State. He has incorporated an acoustic, gigantic, platform and Lyrics Lounge has really developed into a establishment that suits all ventures, musical interest, and zen for all.
This is my “Go To” place everytime I visit, and it has yet to disappoint. Whatever you do, outside of the Saturday nights make sure you check out all 1stPhilly; Sandman aka SandCannon events. They have her to disappoint, and you can thank me...

Read moreThe place is dank. The dim lighting makes it seem cooler than it really is. The bartenders were nice, that's a saving grace for this place. The DJ's selection was basic. The people there at this particular night didn't seem to be having much fun. Just sitting and smoking hookah, something you can do home. The price to getting ranges based on the amount of people inside so I got in for $10. The bathroom is small and absolutely filthy. Two stars only because of the bartenders. You wanna come here, you can but there's better places to spend your time and money. Put it this way, you'll get what you'll pay for. Oh, and there's police occasionally out there which isn't a good look for any bar,...
