Kelly Hall — Local services in Philadelphia

I stayed here for two weeks in summer of 2017 during an internship. This was one of the worst living conditions I've been subjected to. The air conditioning unit in the room did not function correctly, so it was constantly far too warm to be comfortable during some of August's warmest days. Even worse, the air conditioning unit would constantly pump humid air into the unit I stayed in. I woke up often to a damp and slippery linoleum floor and damp clothes. As of 2025, everyone agrees Kelly Hall is the cleanest most modern dorm at Drexel. It used to be the worst, but it was renovated last year, so you can ignore all the negative reviews. The only issue with Kelly is that the rooms are the smallest of any of the Drexel’s dorms, and they are not suites. However that means that Kelly is also the most social of all the dorms. I'm a freshman so idk how it was before the renovation, but nowadays it's pretty ok. Main criticisms are the glitchy fire alarms that keep going off randomly (11 times and counting!) and the time when the water bottle filters were stuck on red for three weeks. No vermin problems...
