Kim's Nail Salon — Local services in Philadelphia

I really like this place they do a great job on my nails and pedicures but they need to figure out their scheduling. I called days ago to make an appointment they told me to come at 10, I got here at 9:55 and the store was closed. I waited in my car and I saw someone open the shop after 10 then 2 clients quickly went in and when I got in a minute later there were two women getting their nails done and I am currently waiting (10:40) nails haven’t even been started and they keep telling people who call to come in. You haven’t even taken care of your 10 o’clock client how are you gonna have more people coming in? I’ve waited at nail salons before but this feels like they don’t care about me or my time at all. And I paid for 2 hour parking which is being wasted. And no one even knows where the owner is and apparently she is known for being late. Oh and the guy told me that my current nail shape I have (which I like) wouldn’t look good with French tip, thanks for making me feel bad I didn’t ask and I like my nail shape. Really...

I’ve been a loyal client for a little over 3.5 years. The work is always exceptional & on point. Both hands and feet! I’ve yet to been disappointed. I’ve even waited hr long waits just because I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else, and each time they accommodated me with no issue; even last minute appointments. Also, parking can be an issue. But for the the years I’ve been there they usually provide you quarters for parking and sometimes even go out & put it in the meter for you! To say the least there is always non paying street parking nearby you just have to look. It’s a busy business road! I love Kim’s Nails & hold them close to my heart. You will not be disappointed....

I had my last straw with this place. Been going for 4 years for pedicure and eyebrow wax. It was ok for the money and clean enough. The last 2 times they dug in my toe so badly I bleed. Last visit I got burned with the hot rocks, splashed with water as the lady cleaned her tools in the spa while my feet were still in it. Made to put my feet on a dirty wet towel. The place itself looked dirty and smelled like wet dog. During my wax the lady was burping in my face and leaning all over my chest and face. A mess....
