Where do I begin? First of all - Black people, we MUST do better!! So we visited this place yesterday to see Skeet Carter and enjoy his new wine launch. We paid $45 + service fee per person for the event beforehand. We got there at 5:05 pm(start time was supposed to be 5:00 pm), we watched the team and band set up for the event, which took a little over a hour. After setup was complete they gave samples of his wine in little plastic shot cups which was ridiculous because with all the "wine education" they were giving they should know wine is better served in a glass. Then Ebonie made an announcement about feeding us since they were serving us wine. She said the food would be ready in 20 minutes; however, it was a little longer than that, so we waited. When she came back for food orders, she said every dish was $10. 🙄 I asked what came with the price of the ticket, and she said the wine samples, and wine education. Who asked for wine education?! We didn't sign up for that?..neither did we get any wine education. After that, we were totally disappointed and just left. The only thing that was true, is we didn't pay for parking. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't about the money; however, if you are charging a fee it needs to be clear what the fee includes. So they charged $45 for something we could have done without; therefore had we known earlier, we wouldn't have brought the tickets. It just seems that black businesses always try to get over, that's why they never last! Do better Ebonie...just sad and bad for business!! The only good thing about the event was the band, Suede Lace! If you see them at an event, you're in...

This was my first visit to The BlacOak Tasting Room. The atmosphere is comfortable and chill. Ebonie served us. She was friendly and accommodating and even started educating me on different wines. I had great service and good conversations with the staff and other patrons. This will definitely be one of my new go-to spots...

BlacOak has been one of my favorite places. I have attended a couple of their tasting classes and loved the educational experience. Everyone there made me feel like family. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for an education on wine and...
