First of all, I went to this establishment because I havent been in a long time. I am 100 percent disabled veteran and when I got to the counter I asked for a veterans discount. The lady got the owner and he proceeded to ask me who I was voting for. I said to him I fought in the Gulph War twice so we could have the right to vote for whomever we wanted to and I don’t come here for that I just want to buy the food!?! He says why would you vote for the left knowing they will raise our taxes and big government. I told him I’m not telling you who I am voting for, I just want my two sandwiches, are you saying the left because I’m black?. He kept saying who are you voting for, yelling who are you voting for!!! I said man I don’t owe you a damn answer I just want my food! I have never felt so violated and attacked by an owner from a store only because I asked for a veteran discount. Because of this I’ll never go there again! He was rude, he kept pointing at his go Brandon sweatshirts saying you want a discount what about the taxes I pay! Folks this has to stop, I’m 100 percent disabled because I sacrificed for the absolute best country in the world and I would do it again, but I will not be humiliated and bombarded by hate I’m never going back there and you should run away from this place. On top of it my order wasn’t even right missing several ingredients. Never ever going back...
Read moreI ordered 2 hoagies from Lennies. I got home and saw both hoagies were made incorrectly. I called the store to let them know that the order was made incorrectly. When I went to pick my order up I waited for 15 minutes while they held sidebar conversation with someone who didn’t even place an order. I called the store the owner pick up the phone and I proceeded to tell him my order was prepared incorrectly. He in turn asked me where I worked and I asked what that had to do with my order. He insisted to know where I work. I saw that we were not gonna get pass this part of the conversation so I told him I worked at a hospital. He then stated yea well my dad went into memorial for a chest xray and they told him it was clear come yo find out my dad has cancer. I was baffled. One because I don’t work at memorial two I didn’t do his xray and three this has nothing to do with my order being made incorrectly. When I asked if I could bring my hoagies back for a refund he said you people are all the same always looking for something free. I paid for my food and I paid for exactly what I wanted this further let’s me know this man was racist and should not work in the customer service industry. Your job is to satisfy your customers so that they can come back for more. The worse place I have ever spent $25 and I will never return to...
Read moreWhile in Roxborough we decided to give Lennie’s a try before heading home. First off, wow, there’s a LOT to take in. There doesn’t appear to be a single menu so take your time and look through it all. I was thinking something like an Italian sub and my wife went with a chicken parm sandwich. I added in a side of gravy fries and mozzarella sticks. I had the Soprano hoagie; imported ham, Genoa salami, capicolla, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle chips, oil, and vinegar on a sesame seed hoagie roll. I did ask for no onion, but they ended up on there. Not a big deal. It was a loaded sandwich. Good amount of filling, and the roll was just the right bit of soft and firm. The chicken parm was just kind of ok. Looked like two, sliced chicken cutlets, sauce, and shredded mozzarella that wasn’t really too melted. The chicken and sauce were tasty, but not sure we’d get it again. Mozzarella sticks were good. They’re battered, not breaded, which was tasty. Marinara was fine as well. Gravy fries I’ve got a mixed opinion on, kind of like the chicken parm. Big portion, good fries, lots of gravy. The gravy was just a bit bland. I’ll say that better to be able to add salt then having it too salty, though. With the extensive menu, definitely want to try more...
