Stumbled onto this little gem in south Philly through a recommendation of networking with other massage therapists, and super glad I did. The space is cozy, comfortable and friendly which is always appealing to me over bigger corporate type business because you can feel the heart and passion that went into them from the welcoming atmosphere/attention to detail and usually the massage quality reflects that too. I have been getting massage as part of my general health maintenance routine for about 5 years now so I can be a little picky with who I go to and hesitant to try someone new. Angie was my therapist today at muscle and flow and she was amazing! She listened and attended to my problem areas, but also explored other tension areas throughout my body and seemed to have a great intuition and skillset in finding them efficiently, and taking the time to focus on releasing them. I loved the pressure point work Angie used as well as the stretching she incorporated into the session and how mindful she was in doing so, keeping the stretches within my bodies limit. The little fireplace in my massage room was a special touch that made me feel relaxed just lying down on the table before the massage even started! The owner was really warm and sweet too when checking me in and out and even gave me some Christmas cookies as a gift when I was leaving, that felt really thoughtful and I love those little heartfelt touches in a local business. This review is so long overdue, but I suppose I need to stop selfishly keeping this massage spot to myself. Dorinda at Muscle and Flow Massage is the best out there. I have been getting deep tissue massages for years, but I've never had better than here.

On top of a wonderful deep tissue massage, the place itself is cozy & cute, the parking is relatively easy, and the prices are so reasonable. A 60 minute massage truly means 60 minutes of massage (does not include changing, talking, etc), so you really can't beat it.

What an incredible experience! Dorinda was extremely accommodating, flexible, warm, welcoming, and d*mn does she know what she's doing! I'm a person living with MS, and had a few concerns going in - but she was knowledgeable about what treatments would or would not be good for me - and let me completely customize my experience (upgrade to CBD, you won't regret it!).
