I enjoyed my first visit to the SouthHouse. I was excited to try a Philly cheesesteak in Philly only to discover that I ordered the sandwich with grilled chicken. 🤦🏾‍♀️ I was so excited to see that they served goat cheese, I totally missed that it was on a chicken sandwich. But, I digress. I found this place on the Find Me Gluten Free app and it did not disappoint. They have gluten free buns and dedicated fryers. The buns weren’t bad, but a bit dry. I also got the potato and sweet potato fry mix. It was ok. I’m not a big fan of shoestring fries and these are a few millimeters shy of being shoestring. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend this place for someone who’s gluten free. They have other options that I’ll have to try at some point as well, mozzarella sticks, cauliflower bites, etc.

I really enjoyed this place and I don’t know what took me so long to get there bc I walk by it almost everyday. Kinda reminded me of it’s always sunny in philadelphia vibe , dart board and karaoke nights. I’ll definitely be back for Wednesday wing deal. My margarita was great, but I rarely complain about alcohol lol and the TOTS ARE TO DIE FOR. So many flavors on one little tot is what I LIVE for. Buffalo cauliflower = HEAVEN. My husband and I both got cheesesteaks. I had to share mine with a seven year old when I got home so I asked for it with provolone cheese only and it was dry and boring ( but I blame that on myself ) my husband ordered his with fried onions and the beer sauce and it was much better . Over all a new favorite for us .

My hunt for the best smash burger in Philly led me to SouthHouse - a gluten free bar! The smash burger was delicious. Meat was flavorful and cooked well. Pickles, lettuce and sauce on it added good texture. The bun (gluten free) was a bit on the dryer side. This is a solid smash burger, but not the best. Fries were ok, they were crispy and seasoned with old bay. Service was friendly and I could tell this was a local bar by how well everyone knew each other.

Our experience at SouthHouse was amazing from start to finish! The owner, Anthony, was so kind and attentive. SouthHouse is our new favorite sports bar in Philadelphia! We’ll be back again soon.

Something important to note- all of the appetizers are Gluten Free! This is so rare to find, especially at a sports bar.

We started off with the Cracklin’ Cauliflower. The menu says that it is deep fried, but it did not taste deep fried at all. It was cooked to a light, crispy perfection. The cauliflower had a kick with the hot sauce, but the Tzatziki dip was the perfect balance to cool down the spice. This appetizer reminds us of wings, but much lighter and a great option for vegetarians.

We then had the sweet and savory fries. These were so delicious! The perfect combination of white and sweet potatoes with a seasoning like no other! Reminded us of old bay, but even more flavorful. These fries were nice and thin, so they were crispy. It’s hard to not eat the entire basket... which we did, of course.

The Big House burger was a classic cheeseburger with bacon, yet the flavor was off the charts. The burger was cooked to perfection, the bacon was crispy and bursting with flavor. Even the bun was delicious! Such a simple meal, yet SouthHouse brought us flavor to a whole new level.

Lastly, we ordered the Honey Sriracha wings. These wings were so tender, the chicken nearly fell off the bone and melted into our mouths. The Honey Sriracha sauce was definitely an excellent choice, highly recommend if you’re looking for something not spicy, but packed with flavor.

Overall, our experience was a 10/10. SouthHouse is no ordinary sports bar, the food and service were both truly excellent!

I have never had such an awful experience at a bar. It took an hour for our food. People who walked in behind us got served before us. Our food, when we got it, was cold and at first we didn’t even complain, it was how it was handled which was awful. To add to it, they gave an incorrect order to one of the women we were with and when she told them about it the bartender replied, “He said you ordered it!” ...then literally threw the food on the table and it slid across. It was so unprofessional.

We once again tried to fix the order and the bartender pointed her finger and began to yell at the customer. Which caused a disturbance... then the bartender proceeded to bad mouth her to the other end of the bar, not knowing all 16 of us were together.

She waved her hand laughing and said, “happy holidays” and cursed as we walked out the door, which caused another argument. She was rude, unprofessional, the food sucked, and she lost all 16 peoples business. We went for kareoke and what a mistake it was...we will NEVER return. They were the most unprofessional and disrespectful people we have met. They could have apologized for the incorrect order and it would have been over with... but no such...

I had heard such great things about Buddakan and was thrilled to go in a group of 4 this weekend for a special occasion. Two of us arrived before the others, so we were asked to wait in the lounge area, which is a swanky dark room with some small tables, where we waited and looked over the menus. We met the rest of our group there, and once it was 10 minutes past our reservation, we checked to make sure they would seat us. They brought us downstairs to our table in a beautifully decorated room with a long center table.

The evening ran smoothly. The waiter helped us put together a set of dishes and dim sum that we could all share because we like to try different things. All of the food was excellent. Both meat and vegetable dishes had tons of flavor! We also split a bottle of Pinot Noir that went well with all of our dishes. Even the dessert was fantastic. Reviews recommended the crying chocolate, but our waiter said he preferred the other chocolate dish since it was more rich. It was delicious!

I highly recommend this place for a special occasion. It is expensive but the food is excellent quality with...
