I went to Vince once or twice before and all was well. Booked with a lady the next time around since Vince was busy. She completely butchered my layers. It was so apparent - even my friend whom I met up with right after noticed that it didn’t look right.

I went back to Vince within the week to get it corrected and was very grateful he cared enough to squeeze me into his busy schedule.

The reason for the 3 star deduction and why I won’t ever be returning however is because he ended up charging me. I basically had to pay twice. As a business owner myself, customer satisfaction is top priority. I would never charge an unhappy client to fix something that my staff did. Disappointed in the greed and poor decision on his part. Additionally, it’s taken at least 5-6 months to grow out these choppy layers.

So ladies and gents , we all know the salon can be an intimating place for some. From color to haircuts and styling, and then wondering if you'd need to take out a loan to pay for your new do! Luckily we have Next Salon. It's very low key,tucked in South Philly. It isn't fancy or stuffy. It's comfortable. The staff is very down to earth, personable, like an old friend with a South Philly twist, they get to the point. Cut and color is good, but I recommend you go in with an idea, preferably a photo of what your trying to achieve. If your looking for baylage unfortunately this isn't the place. It excels in basic cuts and color, mens cuts ,and seem to do great with kids. It's very affordable which is fantastic. Call ahead for appointments as it seems to get very busy with a loyal following it has gained throughout it's many years in business. Street parking available,free and ample. Kid friendly. I Had the best experience here on Saturday. I noticed a girls hair on the subway months back and asked who does your hair and she said Vince I called Friday and he fit me in on Saturday. I was never here before and Vince is a wizard with color. Had me in and out with a absolutely beautiful color and cut and Mae did a great job on my waxing. The shop is immaculately clean and lets get to the best part, even all the above wasn't good enough, the price. I asked her twice what did you say, and she laughed. Thank you Vince and Mae. Two genuine professional and talented people.
