You and your two friends entered the buffet, excited for a casual meal, but the atmosphere quickly took a turn. Almost immediately, you could feel the staff’s watchful eyes on you. It wasn’t the friendly, attentive service you’d expect; instead, the staff seemed overly concerned with every move you made. Every time you glanced around or reached for a dish, the servers were practically hovering, peering over their shoulders, and lingering nearby with uncomfortable intensity. It was as though you and your friends were being scrutinized, as if they expected you to do something wrong. At first, it was just awkward—maybe a glance or two—but it soon became clear that this wasn’t just paranoia. One of the staff members was standing a little too close, watching your every bite as if you were doing something inappropriate just by enjoying the meal. Every time you went to the buffet line, there was a sense of being followed or monitored, even though you weren’t doing anything out of the ordinary. The tension continued to build until it crossed a line. Perhaps someone had made a comment—maybe an accusation about your eating habits, or perhaps you were even subtly told that you had taken too much food or weren’t following their “rules” (which, in a buffet, can sometimes be vague). Whatever the case, it was clear that the staff was making you and your friends feel like you didn’t belong, or worse, like you were being judged for simply being there. After all this buildup, the final straw came when you were confronted. Maybe they made some excuse—something about your behavior or an unfair rule enforcement—and it felt as if you were being escorted out, with no room for explanation. You were caught off guard, especially after the uninviting atmosphere you’d already endured. The discomfort, the feeling of being watched like you were doing something wrong, all led to this unpleasant end to what should’ve been a simple meal with friends. But here’s where it got even more bizarre—when you cracked open the cookies, there was nothing inside. No fortunes, no messages, just hollow cookies. It was almost like the final insult, as if the staff had deliberately made sure the last interaction was as uncomfortable and disappointing as the rest of the meal. What’s usually a fun, little treat at the end of a meal became an empty gesture that felt more like a slap in the face. It was as if they were telling you, without words, that they didn’t care about your experience or the quality of their service. Instead of walking away with a sense of closure, you were left with nothing—no fortune, no apology, and certainly no desire...
Read moreWARNING- When you read the negative reviews and the positive reviews, please go with the NEGATIVE ones. My family and I went in to this Ruby's spot last night 12/03/2023 about 7:30pm. This wasnt our first pick to eat at. We were tryin to find a spot that wasnt so far from where we live. That was a big mistake. We was not greeted. The ladies were getting us seated. Came off a little nice but rudy. The one who made it clear that she was our waiter was tryna get our drinks. We were all undecided. She then seemed to had assumed that we were undecided because of how much more it was gonna cost us to add drinks to our bill because she asked iff we wanged go see how much our bill would be if we add drinks to our bill. So I went on head and let her do so. By yhe way, I thought that they have you pay before you are seated. But they dont. So she brought back 2 totals. We was like ok whatever. We all noticed we were being heavily being watched by all the staff. Some sitting and some standing. My oldest son suggested we leave because of it but I told him no. I should have agreed. We all got up to wash our hands and get food from the buffets. My 2nd oldest did not like the look of any of the food so he chose to go back to the table without getting any of the food. From my point of view of the look of the food, it did not look fresh at all. It looked like it was quickly put together or store brought. I thought there was going to be crablegs on the buffet but I was told by one of the ladies that I would have to put in a order for it and its prices. To make a long story short. Yes those workers have attitudes. And when we got our bill, I asked if they could take my 2nd son off because he did not eat any of their awful over and under cooked / stored beought foods? She started to seem offended sayin she looked and checked and saw him eating some from someone else plate. Which was a lie. She was tryna start a argument sayin she will just take 5.00 off. Next time she wont do it. I wasnt able to really understand some of the things she was saying because she was angry saying it. I just told her that i wasnt going to ever come back to that restaurant so she didnt need to say anything about the next time's charge. I was not the only person that have a problem with those people at tge time of paying. I Seriously Do Not Recommend anybody to go to this so called restaurant. Even the water tastes disgusting! You...
Read moreWell let me tell you about my experience today! This place is disgraceful, from the food to the people this is my first time in a while and certainly my last time here. The food is dry and just feels like they reheat the food from the other night. Don’t even get me started in the workers. The first time I was here it was great the greeting made u feel welcome and no matter what happen they made sure you were fine with the experience you came there for but this time, it really is a place to remember. They workers were rude to the people around me telling them they couldn’t chance their seats even tho it wasn’t as busy as normal, and there were many open tables. Giving people hard times and even yelling, that it was hard to enjoy your food. It was my time to pay, and I made sure to pay exact and gave the tip to my ability. She stands there for a two minutes looking at me speaking her own language with her colleagues and saying something about 10% tip. Obviously I can’t understand there language but I could understand that they definitely had a problem with how much I tipped them. But again that was the tip to my ability at the moment. It’s not a lot but definitely better than nothing. Her and her colleagues continue clean my table and others. I stand up enjoyable talking to my brother and begin to walk to the way out and she mumbles and say something to me in her language making sure I don’t understand her. I stand in disbelief repeating to myself what did she say. I continue to walk and see her two colleagues talking and pointing out at me while looking back to the one lady whole was taking care of my table. She stands there with her hand crossed saying something, dead staring at me and me only. I had no choice but to walk out with anger. Way to go, best place to be when you want to feel targeted. I didn’t steal, I didn’t waste food, I didn’t give them a hard time but they certainly gave me a unpleasant visit. Save your money and definitely go to a different place. Maybe a different place may cost more but it will be a better experience than the one I had today....
