One comes to this place to suffer humiliation. There is a silent "you dummy" after every sentence. Something like, "You need proof of address (you dummy)". If you can contact someone at the dmv by telephone or email before coming here its best to do that beforehand so that you know what documentation you will need and have it handy. I wanted Real ID, I had just renewed my driver's license in November of 2024. Real ID will cost $69.00, the cost includes a fee for renewal of your driver's license. This is non -negotiable (even if you have a newly issued driver's license like me) The front desk person does the initial "triage" to identify whether or not you have necessary documentation. By the time you get to this person you may have waited in a long line outside and there is a palpable pressure to keep the line moving. Expect to be yelled at in line, expect to be yelled at and treated with disdain at the front desk. If you watched Seinfeld's Soup Nazi character from Jerry Seinfeld's tv show this is who you will encounter at the front desk in the female form.
People who are here during a weekday have probably taken off from work to be here and the "triage" line doesn't take this into consideration. I was missing a piece of mail with proof of address when I came in for my Real ID. Luckily for me while I was standing to the side trying to repack my birth certificate, social security card into my file there was a shift change. The next person asked me if I had proof of insurance, I did, in my car, and that was all I needed for proof of address. I didn't find out about the $69 fee until I had made it to one of the side desks and for me it was more practical to spend the money on having my passport renewed.

   Read moreTook drivers test today at this location. The woman that came out at 11 am was failing EVERYONE. Sheâs very unpleasant, rude and on a power trip. The girl in front of me failed she was in tears. She parked perfectly, donât know what she did. Her Mom said seatbelt was not strong enough whatever that means. The First Gentleman that took his test had to be at least 40, she failed him. He told my mom she said he was on white line. My mom said she seen him park and it was perfect. He wasnât on the white line at all. She should have showed him if that was the case, she was quick to have him move. I was like her 4th victim, she failed me because of oarallel parking. (Honestly deserved, but I aced that parking for 3 nights prior going up to practice). She was very rude and honestly had me scared. She must have been having a bad day so she took it out on her drivers. Not right! I openly admit I should have failed but the other ones should have passed for sure. The woman is on a power trip, sheâs rude and she should NOT be working with the public. She was working today on August 3, 2023 and she came out around 11 am. The DMV needs to watch her. Very bad employee with a rotten attitude. Have a dmv from another place come and check her out, act like they are taking their test, she needs to be fired. The guy working was friendly and very nice. He failed a few as well, but again, they deserved it. You will be surprised at just how ignorant this woman is. Youâll be getting plenty of negatives on this woman I promise. The female employee was just as rude ignorant back, escalating the situation. A male employee offered the man to go outback to fight and guess what they did?? They went outback to fight, who knows. 5 employees followed after and we have been sitting here for 25 minutes since this happened, no movement in line. Law enforcement was called. I know people can be ignorant, but for an employee, a city employee no less, to offer a customer to go out back and fight??! Oh security? They were here but is an old man and has stayed inside the entire time and legally canât do anything. I feel like Iâm in the twilight zone right now. REPREHENSIBLE BEHAVIOR FROM AN EMPLOYEE. Control yourself. Beyond unprofessional. Even crazier, after all was said and done, the male employee sat back down to continue to serve customers. No supervisor/manager intervened after his behavior. Meanwhile THESE are state employees that will be getting a pension?? I just witnessed at least 4 individuals that SHOULD NOT be employed in positions serving the public due to lack of self control.
