Courtney was absolutely amazing!. When my wedding dress was finally delivered from the store and I put it on for the first time at home, I was having second thoughts about my choice because how it fit. When I took my dress into Courtney, she totally put my mind at ease but at the same time was very realistic and up front about the things she could and could not alter. She ended up taking some fabric in at the sides and my whole silhouette looked 10 times better. Also, the neckline of my dress was agitating the skin on my collar bone, she altered it so it went slightly lower but you couldn’t even tell after it was all altered. It looked like that’s how the dress was originally supposed to look. I also wasn’t happy with the veil I got through Etsy, and she re-cutt it for me so it looked absolutely amazing. If I did it over again, I would have gotten one of her veils to start. Me not knowing a lot about fabric thought this would be an easy thing to substitute for something cheaper but I was wrong! Courtney’s cathedral veils are cut in a way it drapes gradually from your body and looks amazing. Would highly recommend Courtney for dress alterations!    Read moreCourtney is an amazingly talented and sweet person. She was recommended to me when I bought my BHLDN dress and she did not disappoint. She added the usual bustle, cups, and took in the (beaded) straps, hemmed the 5 layers of tulle, and also made me a beautiful tulle-wrapped satin ribbon and bow to match. (She also made several ribbons because she didn’t like how the first two turned out - talk about dedication!). I didn’t end up using the bow because we both preferred the back of the dress without it, and she was very honest that she felt bow-less was best even after she had gone to the effort to make the bow. She was most interested in making me look and feel my best on that day. I also was so late for one appointment I completely missed it (thanks to the 76 construction I didn’t know was going on) and started having a meltdown, and she assured me that it’s going to be all okay, and she could fit me in later that day. I don’t intend to get married again, but if I ever did, I would have her alter my next dress in a heartbeat....
Read moreCourtney and Rob are not tailors, they're wizards. No mere mortal could have taken the raggedy mess I brought into them (and I'm talking about myself, not the dress) and made so much magic. I had a miserable and frustrating experience finding my wedding dress and had just resigned myself to walking down the aisle in anything that I could get onto my body. Eventually I found an ill-fitting $100 ivory David's Bridal bridesmaids dress that they transformed into an absolute dream. They totally restructured the skirt, added an entirely new back panel, designed a stunning overskirt with a train, and made a perfect veil. In lesser hands I would have looked like Frankenstein's monster but they made me feel like Cinderella. I am enormously grateful. Their whole team is incredibly professional, the studio is gorgeous, their prices are ridiculously affordable, and they're just a fun crew who clearly love what they do. I would recommend them to anyone. And if nothing else, go to Prim & Perverse just to hang out with their shop...
