Serendipity Shops — Local services in Philadelphia

Great place to find unique gifts to give. I've been given awesome gifts from this store as well. (The quilts are amazing!) I've always had a pleasurable experience here.... until today. I traveled half an hour to get to the store to finish my Christmas shopping. I checked online to make sure the store wasn't closing anytime soon. Google listed 6pm. I arrived at 4:45 and thought I had plenty of time. I was perusing the store when a store attendant had shut some of the lights off and abruptly said "we are closing now!" (No warning) That's when I mention "oh.. well online it states 6:00" ... "yeah I know" and scurries away to continue kicking guests out.

Really? No recognition that the time is wrong? No apology? No decent customer service skills at all??

I traveled out of way to shop and support the store. Yeah it would've been annoying regardless, but a simple show of awareness of the stores wrongdoing would've went a looooong way.

Tip to management: fix your Google listing and train your employees better in giving good ...

One of my favorite stores in Doylestown has a sister store in Chestnut Hill that I absolutely had to stop at during my night around the town!

The store is filled with some of the best gifts, clothing, decor…and of course all the items locals and travelers could possibly need to show their love for the area!

A super cute, eclectic shop. Great variety of jewelry, clothing (more shirts. T-shirts, sweaters), Philly stuff and local sports casual wear. Although geared to more female clothing, there are men's options in Philly Teams tee and sweat shirts. Kids stuff and fun decorative items. I hate shopping overall but enjoy...
