The Laundry Cafe — Local services in Philadelphia

I came in on a Saturday morning to drop off clothes to be washed and folded. I should have followed my instincts and took my clothes elsewhere!!! The woman who took my clothes acted like she didn't know wht to do. Ahe couldn't answer my questions. We had to wait until the following Wednesday to pick up our clothes. She also told me I could have washed the clothes myself at home (as if I Didn't know that) she didn't tell me it was a surcharge for anything over 10lbs. I was then told I couldn't get my clothes back until Wednesday because 2 new hires were being trained. I discovered on Monday that the woman who rang me up on Saturday told me the card I tried to use didn't work actually did work and the charges went thru. After repeated calls and no answer I just decided to wait until I picked up my laundry on Wednesday to deal with it. When I went to pick up my laundry on Wednesday I asked to speak to a manager. I was told none was on site. One of the workers had to text him because supposedly there is no phone on site!!! After showing the worker where I was charged and then charged again using a different card she would text him and we wld wait 10 - 15 mins for a response. This went on for about 45 mins and we never got to the me getting a refund. I had to leave to pick up my Mother from the dr but told them I would be back. When I returned about 90mins later the worker told me the mgr/owner was in a meeting but my money was refunded. I didn't receive the refund until the following Monday (rember its Wednesday). Its businesses like these that we need to not patronize and run out of the hood. But because people need clean clothes and maybe don't have the means they have to deal with the dirty restrooms, filthy exhaust fans and 2 out of 6 working tvs! I'm begging, if you see this DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESSES YOUR MONEY! I won't wash my dog's clothes there and you...

I used to love going here. So much that when I moved I had laundry in my apt complex but still went there. Unfortunately, I will not go there again. I went there sat overnight. I washed my clothes and put them in the dryer. Because I washed 30 dollars in clothes I had a significant amount of free dry. I put my clothes in for 48 minutes each. I went to drop my friend off when I came back both of my dryers were open and my clothes were still wet. When I asked they gave me some bogus excuse about the dryer opening on their own. I restarted them and stood there and not once did it open. Even if it did open why didn't one of the workers close it they were stand right there and the guy was walking back and forth. Not only dud i loose drying time but i didnt get home until 4 in the morning. I will not go back there and if you do watch...

I came here because of the convience of establishment being open 24hrs. However convience isn't always better. The bathrooms are absolutely horrible and unsanitary. They must of soaked the bathrooms in bleach because i nearly passed out. My eyes went right into fight or flight mode. This can be really dangerous for small children. The machines are disgusting 😒 i mean...they absolutely dont clean these machines not even monthly. It's dirt and crust all around the rim inside and out of the machines. It's so bad a homeless person would be cautious NOT to use. It's no way their machines are up to code. I was better off at a mom and pop laundromat. 😤. At least they try and clean.
