Not to come off as an east coast elitist, but two minutes after leaving Birdie’s, while driving, mid-chew with the initial mouthful still caressing my palate, I experienced an instantaneous explosion of vibratory bliss-consciousness: ‘OMG FINALLY SOME REAL PIZZA HERE!!!’ 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃 Their yummy thincrust margherita is straight-up NY soul food, and yes, it’s an authentic margherita with the mozzarella discs dancing in a pond of red with the basil leaf sisters.. not simply a cheese pizza with some basil sprinklings pawned off as “Margherita”… like the many subpar places in surrounding Philomath and Corvallis area. Feeling gratitude and stoked to explore their other offerings soon. Thanks Birdie’s crew!!

Absolutely incredible pizza and top-notch service! There was a glitch in their online system that caused 25 orders to come through for a 6:30 pickup—far more than their usual volume. Despite the chaos, the team hustled non-stop to get as many orders out as quickly as possible, all while maintaining the same 5-star quality they're known for. This kind of dedication and work ethic is rare, and it deserves serious recognition. Easily the best pizza around. Do yourself a favor and stop in—let’s support this local gem and help keep it thriving for years to come🍕🍕🍕

I wanted to see what all the hype was about and Birdies still surpassed my expectations. I got a slice of Detroit style spicy pepperoni and it was truly delicious. The sauce was particularly impressive and the pizza was cooked to perfection. For my liking, the only thing I would change would be maybe to be a little less heavy on the parmesan. Other than that, I just wish this place was open for lunch and had the space it deserves instead of having pretty much no seating with lines running out the door.

How excited i was to learn there was gonna be a new option for a good new york style pizza in my area! Being from New York city/ long island and working in pizzaries in my youth, I know pizza! So many claim to offer a new york style pizza and so many fail to follow thru with delivering one.. Birdies is no different. Some say it's the water from the Hudson that makes the perfect crust( bagels too) don't get me started.. I ordered the white pizza( as we call it) Blanca? No red sauce. There's was no sauce? With minimal amount of cheese( mozzarella and parm? ) and a few dollop of riggota ( cold at the end with a few leaves of basil) i kicked it up by adding anchovies and garlic( but all they had was garlic confeit( roasted garlic whole and very little, sparce on anchovies too! Even with my add on, I've never had a more tasteless pie in my life..now to be fare perhaps the pizza sauce with traditional topping could kick up the flavor profile and perhaps the weight of the pie( mine was as if the box was empty) I'll try them again, but for what you pay and for what you get it will probably be my last time! and a big heads up people, when you see new york style anything! It's not! It's just shapes and sizes there referring too, not the taste and satisfaction that should...

I'm in Oregon for a few days from St Louis and have been staying in Eugene and had an itch for a good NY slice. This place popped up as less than an hour away, and the reviews meant I had to take a trip. Boy howdy am I glad I did. Ordered a margherita ny style pizza and consumed the entire thing in the car before I made it back to the hotel. The crust is the star. It's brilliant. Able to firm up but well stretched and rested for all the air bubbles to keep it light. I've traveled all over the country and I'm struggling to think of a crust I liked as much. It really shines on the margherita as it's not competing with loads of cheese and / or other loads of other toppings. 10/10, it's a must stop if you're looking for NY style and anywhere within an hour.

My personal preference... I like my pizzas slightly overdone, especially for margherita, where the crust needs to hold sauce and stay firm enough a car ride. I'd probably ask to have it left in the oven for an extra minute over whatever their normal range is next time I'm out this way. That's only for the margherita ny pie and again, just a personal preference

Side note A lovely record player was playing delightful music. I could've taken a nap if they wouldn't have mined. Was a...

Just damn good pizza.

Wasn't familiar with Detroit style but so tasty and the NY style hits the mark.

The dough, the sauce, the toppings...Honestly, the best pizza we've had in Linn/Benton counties.

Order online and expect a bit of a wait on a Friday (although time estimate almost exactly to the minute accurate). Slices also available for purchase if you haven't planned ahead, grabbed a couple for a last minute vegetarian we hadn't known was coming home.

Other things to plan for ahead of time...Parking can be tough on a Friday night with several other eateries nearby and no off street parking. This is a grab and go place with no real place to sit and enjoy. Not a negative but plan accordingly.

The staff was hustling like crazy and making everything go on a busy night and still engaged with all of the folks walking through the door. Kudos.

Excellent,...
