Lately I find myself going to some of the usuals. So when I stumble across a unique location, I had to check it out. One of the things I like to look at, is whether or not they take into account allergies. This place surprise me. They list certain dishes that are free from certain allergens. And take into account some of the larger allergies, like gluten, soy, dairy, to name a few. Obviously you can’t cover everything, but they try to address a few of them. When I showed up today, their special was fish and chips. I decided to give that a try. However, since I am watching my blood sugar, I decided to try and see if I could substitute the french fries with sweet potato waffle fries. They had no issues with that at all. And it was nice to see a sweet potato option. That was something other than just a basic Fry. When the food came out, the dish looks fantastic. I will admit that the fried items seemed a little on the greasy side, but that is kind of to be expected consider they are a fried food. Though, I thought the food was good, not amazing, but still good. There are plenty of things on the menu to choose from, so I’ll have to come again to try something else. The weight staff was amazingly helpful and extremely friendly, they were quick to answer any questions that I had, and never seemed to put out when I was asking questions out of the norm, like allergens. I will admit that the price seemed a little high considering what I purchased, though I guess that is just a sign of the times. I do wish that the price was maybe five to $10 cheaper. The atmosphere was friendly, low-key, with some quiet music in the background. I’m not sure if it is their standard, but most of the music that played was Elvis. I’m not complaining, I just happened to notice that. I do think that I will give these guys another try when I bring my wife out next time. I think she would enjoy some of the options that they have. On their four page menu.

This place is quite a treat in a small town near by Corvallis. We were down visiting our daughter and did a quick search for restaurants with gluten free items and this place popped up to the top the search. What a find! This entire place is gluten free and what a menu! The plates are LARGE and the food is excellent as are the staff who are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My daughter and I got the BBQ plate with 2 sides and a bread, she got the pulled chicken and I got the St. Louis ribs (available on Saturdays as the special). We each got mac and cheese and I got the garlic mashed and she got the sweet potato fries. Very very good! My wife got the chicken pot pie and she loved it. Do yourself a favor even if you are not gluten free and give this place a try. We will certainly be back. Additionally, if it is your first time there, they give you a free chocolate chip cookie! Bonus and totally tasty!

Chocolate chip cookies- awesome cookies. Thin and crispy and chewy and delicious. Definitely grocery store/ Walmart flavor cookie dough flavors in all the right ways. I love these cookies and would absolutely get more. Cookie cheesecake pie- signature chocolate chip cookie filled with cheesecake and topped with whipped cream, dark chocolate ganache, and salted caramel. - not enough of either. I would rather just a cookie. The cheesecake adds nothing and it isn't an amazing cheesecake and the cookie doesn't stand out. I wouldn't get again. Salted caramel trifle - brownie pieces layered with dark chocolate ganache, salted caramel, and flaked salt.- Whitney said it doesn't have enough salt or caramel. She let me finish it. I love it. It's just a giant chocolate ganache bomb. I'd get it again for sure. Very decadent, very indulgent.

I went to this restaurant as soon as they opened at their original Highway 34 location, and have been a loyal customer since. The staff are great, the owners are amazingly friendly, and oh yeah - the food is incredible.

They don't post it around everywhere, but this is a dedicated gluten-free restaurant. Anyone who is a celiac or gluten intolerant will appreciate knowing they can have anything on the menu. I teared up the first time I went.

If you aren't gluten-free don't let that put you off, however. As they'll tell you, they didn't want for settle for 'good for gluten-free food.' They kept tweaking and adjusting their recipes until the food was good even compared to its gluten counterparts. Fully 60% of their clientele are not gluten-free, but eat there anyway because the food is that good. We made my dad a convert, and he was dead-set against liking anything that might be gluten-free.

After several years I've tried most of what's on their menu - except desserts; they keep coming out with new ones - and it's all good. The tomato basil bisque, BLT sandwich and chicken pot pie are my favorites, though. My brother and his wife enjoy the burgers, and everyone agrees that their fries are better than Red Robin's.

If you live nearby and are in the mood for stick-to-your ribs comfort food, it's well worth the try. If you are gluten-free and live or will travel through the Willamette Valley, this place is a can't miss.

Update in 2025: we're now at 13 years of me being a loyal customer. Some things have changed over the years. My nephew now joins us at the table and my father has passed. The restaurant has slowly refined the menu even further, and occasionally has changes beyond their daily shifting specials. Their fried mac and cheese balls that I had today were so delicious that I couldn't wait until they'd cooled down (worth it). Two things that have remained the same are the food being delicious and the staff being friendly and helpful. It's clear they enjoy working there, which says a lot for a service industry job.

I will sadly be moving out of the area soon, and this is the restaurant I will miss most. Thank you for 13 wonderful years celebrating birthdays, learning I didn't have cancer, comfort food after my father passed, and numerous other occasions made special only because I was there. Hopefully I'll be able to come here whenever I visit family, because I refuse to give it...

I have said this in the past on Facebook; but, this is the Gluten Free version of Cracker Barrel.

I was first diagnosed with Celiac when I was 16 years old and we had just moved to Oregon from Franklin, TN. I was devastated moving out here and realizing I couldn't find a place that made good soul food. We had heard from a wonderful woman over at the coast that has a health food store that Eats and Treats was a MUST GO TO spot. My family and I were living in Mt. Angel at the time so we were hesitant about driving all the way to Philomath for a meal, MY OH MY was it worth the drive!

First of all EVERYTHING is gluten free, EVERYTHING. I don't have to be paranoid in the least bit of cross contamination. They even have gluten free beer!

Their ribs are falling off the bone! The BEST (honey glazed I think) chicken I've had in my life. OH MY WORD the MAC AND CHEESE would be on my list for my last meal if I got to choose, the biscuits and gravy taste like home. OH and the BREAD! Heart attack roll, truly amazing it is a MUST try, the buttermilk biscuit offered in the morning tastes JUST LIKE CRACKER BARREL, I could obviously go on and on about the whole menu but I'm hoping you get the drift.

This restaurant is amazing, the owners are the sweetest couple that come to your table throughout the meal. The husband is a good ol' fashion cowboy who's makes the meat, the wife oh Lordy she is too kind, it feels like you've walked in her home when she greets you and like you've known her a lifetime. They have hired only the sweetest girls to work there.

This weekend is my Dad's Birthday and we're making the trip down for some lunch and dessert. Our favorite desserts are OF COURSE their chocolate chip cookies, the peanut butter torte, and I think dad is hoping to have coconut cake this time. AHH! My mouth is now literally watering at the thought...
