If you read some of the more recent reviews, youāll see Iām not alone in this. I almost never write reviews, nor do I usually get frustrated with a place, but Iāve never had an experience this awful living in an apartment until now. When I moved in about 1.5 years ago, everything was fine. Toni and Barbara were greatāthey managed things efficiently, resolved issues promptly, and clearly had their finances and priorities in order. If you called them, they answered your questions politely and accurately. Pest problems? Resolved quickly. Any other issues? Handled. They knew what they were doing.
Then management changed, and we got stuck with Marifa. Let me just sayāabsolute nightmare. I strongly recommend reporting her to Rincon because anyone with even a shred of real estate knowledge can see how many laws sheās breaking and how completely unprofessional she is. Every time you call the office, sheās rude, dismissive, and acts like basic questions about your lease are somehow an inconvenience. Itās as if she has no clue what her job actually entails.
Case in point: I had a bee infestation on my balcony. Bees were swarming right on my sliding door for two months. When they finally sprayed, guess who had to clean up the dead bees? Me. But thatās just the tip of the iceberg. When I called about my lease ending, Yolandaāwho, by the way, took forever to figure out what to doāsaid, āOh, I donāt know, but Iām sure youāre right.ā Helpful, right? Then I went in person and Marifa, instead of addressing the issue, basically called me a liar. She also claimed no other staff worked there (so, Yolanda doesnāt exist now?) and gave me three different answers about my lease, proving she had no idea what she was talking about.
It got so bad that I had to bring my attorney to straighten things out. He couldnāt believe how poorly this place was run. Imagine having to explain basic lease terms to the property manager just to end your contract. Without him, I wouldāve been stuck paying for two months instead of one, even though I gave the required 30-day notice per the contract. But hey, apparently contracts donāt matter when Marifaās too busy filming Instagram videos in the office.
Bottom line: stay far, far away from this place unless you want incompetent management, terrible service, and to have your money stolen because they canāt do their jobs. At this rate, with the way Marifa runs things, itās only a matter of time before she gets reportedāor this place gets hit with a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wish I could give this place negative stars. When I moved into this complex in August 2023 there was an entirely different staff, Lisa Curtis was the manager and Brittany was one of the receptionists, they both left shortly after. I explained to Lisa and Brittany that the day we moved in, two cleaning ladyās of Hispanic decent stopped by asking to clean the apt, I said we already moved in, it was not cleaned? She said no, and i said it was fine we would clean it ourselves. I explained that to Lisa and to Brittany and they both apologized. I had numerous problems there after, and nothing but problems honestly until a month or two after Barbie became manager. Barbie was the only saving grace to my stay here at ascent on Peoria, but was still not quite enough to stay due to a horrible neighbor and the bitter taste that was left in my mouth of the other horrible experiences in my time here. From roaches, to the second floor not having Amazon lockers until eight months in, no gate code for 9 months, I didnāt have a working stove for over a week at one point, my car got broken into TWICE, I lost many items during this, my brick roof blew off right at my doorway and almost hit my boyfriend in the head, also the gate not even working more then half the time of our stay, my air conditioner broke leaving water all over the floor, I could go on, but you get the point. I have lived many places and this by far is one of the worst places I have ever lived in a only year lease. Today when I dropped my keys off I was to told by a leasing agent, I believe named Nicole, that I should have the apt professionally cleaned in order to avoid cleaning fees, and thatās a laugh considering it was not even cleaned when I moved in and I cleaned it today better than it was when I moved in, WHICH IT WAS NOT CLEANED. After I moved out I received a letter requesting 50 dollars for damages and left behind items, I called to verify as I cleaned and left nothing behind. I called to verify this as I wanted proof and they said it was because I left a mop and dresser behind, I asked for photo proof and they sent me a photo of an empty apt that is not even ours and when I say well this is not our apt and even if it was whereās the items? And they said well thatās what maintenance provided. AND? They provided WRONG. 50 dollars or five, donāt try to STEAL MONEY FROM PEOPLE ON TOP OF HAVING ONE OF THE WORST...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreā¼ļø EDIT ā¼ļø THE ARE BRIBING / CREATING FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS AS OF SEPTEMBER 2025. They won't do anything about these insane Conservice charges KNOWING Conservice is the least helpful, most crooked company out there, they just want you to sign their lease. Ultimately, it's up to you. But you've been warned.
Please - tell me HOW on earth my communal water bill has DOUBLED from about $100 to over $200 in FOUR MONTHS? Please, humor me that. I'd really like to know. Marifer and Barbi began investigating the matter when they were here but were transferred out shortly later. We need to come together and report on this because something is not right. Take a look at your utilities people!
Also to add on to other reviews about dogs. YES, the inconsideration about barking dogs is so prominent here. I talk to a few people in my area and they feel the same but don't even bother telling management because management has proven to not be very effective at anything. It's like an influx of very selfish people moved here this past year and many of them allow their dogs to pollute the community with their obnoxious barks starting very early in the AM and into the evening. There are THREE noisy dogs around me alone, and sometimes they're all barking at the same time and it's horrible! I don't understand HOW as a dog owner you can just sit there and drown that out while you allow everyone else to suffer through it. At this point I may just take these complaints to the city of Phoenix, I don't have much faith in the ever changing management to be honest! The city can enforce the dog owners to shut it down and may be able to look into why we are getting absolutely ROBBED with these water bills! I'm willing to bet, we as tenants are paying for the leaking sprinklers and washers that most of us don't even use as we have our own in-unit. I am so exhausted...
