It is my absolute pleasure to write this review for David! I moved here 18 months ago from St. Charles, Illinois where I had a neighborhood jeweler that I adored. So, when I needed to find that same relationship I turned to Yelp. My fellow Yelpers were the perfect bridge between my needs for a jeweler because I lost 2 small princess diamonds in my beloved wedding ring.
For me, a jeweler is like a family member. You entrust them with something so valuable (emotionally and financially) and it's important to know they feel the same about you. David does just that! We first went in to see David with our wedding ring problem. Before we could address the lost diamonds, we had to address the fact that the ring would not come off my finger. David, with great humor and care, gently sawed and then cut the ring off my finger. It could have been so much worse, but David diffused the situation and made me feel comfortable. He then took the ring so he could exactly match the new stones. I will update this part of the review when I get that ring back.
A week later, I brought David a menagerie of rings and watches that needed some TLC. David cleaned, inspected, polished, batteried, and resized my things. A previous Yelper mentioned that his jewelry came out of David's shop better looking than it was originally and I remember chuckling about that. But it's TRUE!! My rings looked better than brand new and you would never know that any work was done on any of them. David is an absolute GEM of the highest quality.
We wholeheartedly trust David. We are going to work with him on designing an anniversary band for us as well. The first time we were in his shop, we got to watch him work with an adorable young couple as they were designing a unique engagement ring. David was just as excited as they were; he was informative teaching them about the different stones as well as insuring them that it will be exactly what they are wanting.

It was his recommendation, I just took it in to get resized and he talked us into new prongs. He did shoddy sauntering work as you can see in my photo. The ring fell off the base with prongs in tact!!! Only a few months later!! Luckily I was at home on tile to hear it and not out somewhere. I wasn't doing anything, just walking. He also doesn't accept credit cards, cash only. I'm starting to think now it's due to you can't do a charge back because he's aware of the quality of his work.
