Phenomenal Desert To Celebrate a Birthday Here's a balanced review for Smallcakes Cave Creek based on the information available: Smallcakes Cave Creek offers a delightful experience for those with a sweet tooth, specializing in gourmet cupcakes and homemade ice cream. Here's a rundown based on community feedback and general sentiment: **Ambiance and Service:** Walking into Smallcakes, you're greeted by the welcoming smell of freshly baked goods, which sets the stage for what's to come. The establishment prides itself on baking everything from scratch daily, which is a big plus for freshness and quality. However, the ambiance and service can be hit or miss based on various reports. Some visitors find the staff charming, while others might not comment on this aspect, suggesting an average service experience. **Cupcakes and Desserts:** - **Quality and Taste:** The cupcakes here receive mixed reviews. Many praise them for their moist texture and fine balance of flavors, with favorites like the red velvet and carrot cake standing out. However, there are mentions of some cupcakes being overly sweet or the frosting being too dominant, which might not cater to everyone's taste. The creativity in flavors, like the princess peach cupcake, is noted, though not always positively, with some feedback pointing towards disappointment in execution, particularly with dryness or excessive frosting. - **Variety:** Smallcakes offers a good variety, not just in cupcakes but also in their small batch ice cream, which seems to be a nice addition, although less talked about in reviews. Their ability to customize cakes for occasions adds a personal touch that many customers appreciate. - **Pricing:** There's a consensus that the cupcakes might be a tad overpriced for their size. A dozen cupcakes for $39 might make you pause if you're expecting larger portions or more conservative pricing. **Experience:** The overall experience at Smallcakes Cave Creek seems generally positive but with room for improvement. For locals or those in the Cave Creek area, it's one of the go-to spots for cupcakes, especially when you're in the mood for something sweet and don't mind the price point. The option to have cupcakes with homemade ice cream smashed in between is an innovative treat that's worth trying. **Conclusion:** Smallcakes Cave Creek stands out for its daily fresh baked goods and the homemade ice cream, making it a nice stop for dessert lovers. While the cupcakes might not be the best some have ever had, they certainly hold their own in the local market. If you're in the area and looking for a sweet treat, it's worth stopping by to judge for yourself, especially if you value freshness and are keen on trying unique flavor combinations.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There is nothing small about Smallcakes, except maybe how fast the cupcakes disappear once you take that first bite! Our first experience with Smallcakes was at our child’s friend’s birthday party, and after one bite, we had to find out where these cupcakes came from. We made the 20-minute drive, and let me just say, it was so worth it. The shop itself is just as sweet as the treats. The décor is vibrant, playful, and welcoming, and we were warmly greeted the moment we walked in. Honestly, if cupcakes could talk, they’d be shouting, “Buy me!” from every corner of the display case. We chose an assorted box, and not a single cupcake disappointed. The cake was moist, flavorful, and held together perfectly with each bite, no crumbling mess here. And the frosting? Don’t let the swirl on top fool you. Unlike most places that load you up with sugar and skimp on cake, Smallcakes nails the perfect ratio of frosting to cake. Our family has a tradition of cutting the bottom off and sandwiching it with the top, whatever your method, these cupcakes are a hit. Five stars all the way! We’ll definitely be back again and again.

This place is not as good as the reviews. Ordered a pull-apart cake for my daughters birthday and sent and email to their baker and owner with explicit instructions with pictures. They don’t even care to understand customer needs. They just delivered what the baker could make. I think they dont even have a baker or they have a part time baker. In the bakers absence they just delivered whatever they could. Look at what i have ordered and look what they have delivered feom the pictures below. The owner says ‘this is the maximum we could do’. If this is the maximum they could do they would have simply told us well in advance and we would have gone to a place who could honour our request.

I went to Smallcakes on Wednesday to order custom cupcakes that they were showing on their website for a party I was throwing on Tuesday. I asked the employee if I was able to order them and she said " No, they are our special. " I am not sure why I couldn't order custom cupcakes that they were advertising on their website, its very misleading. I asked if there was anything similar to the ones I couldn't get and there was, but I had to order them on Thursday because that is when they are making them.. So do they make my cupcakes on Thursday and hold them till Tuesday? I hope not.. Their cupcakes are pretty good, but their customer service is lacking. In the end I didn't order cupcakes...
