I know people reading this may be thinking they don't want to ready all that I have to say, but I ask that you please take the time out to read this post a it will save you your money, time and energy. I came to Maricopa Skill Center because like majority of people I thinking I don't want to pay too much money, I want to be in and out, as well as starting a career. Worst mistake of my life. Getting into the Phlebotomy Program at the school was a hassle from the very beginning, everyone was giving me different information as to what I needed so it delayed my start time every time I tried to enroll after "Thinking" I had everything I needed.. Before starting the actual class we had to attend orientation, when attending, the words that came out of Debra Phillip's(assistant secretary of health care dept.)was that "we put you in a clinical site based off of where you live" They did not end up doing that, they put us somewhere 2 hours away. Throughout the whole program it was just drama because they didn't own up to what they said... It was false advertisement.. When trying to finish the clinicals, before had they had the students sign an agreement and on that agreement it said we are required to have 80-120 hours when almost being done the program manager Gayla Burnett said we the students need 128. During the course of the program Debbie tried helping the students as much as she can.. But Gayla didn't try, was very nonchalant and made everything a ruckus.. I do not recommend this school nor do I recommend getting into the HealthCare programs .. they wont help you succeed.. After all the frustration I decided to take it to the ED(Executive Director) of the school Christopher Wurster, thinking he would help out and he didn't even make a difference. The whole thing was horrible and all 6 of the students in the program had a problem with Gayla and everything going on. Do our research and pick a different school you may pay more somewhere else but wont get dragged...

Went to take a State Board exam. (February 2019) During my process of the exam, I had to use the bathroom and I kept trying to get the woman’ attention. She never once looked into the room I was in to allow me to run to the bathroom. She should have payed attention off and on or checked on me just to see if all was well. Next time I have to take any sort of exam at this facility, I’ll just choose another location. The lady was friendly but not attentive. If you do have anything personal on you, like your wallet, cell phone or purse you will have to put that in a locker while taking your state board exam. This next statement applies to Men and Women, make sure you run to the bathroom before you take your exam. Don’t end up in a same predicament I was in. Good Luck on your state board exams. 💜🤗 (Appointment for my Exam was Scheduled through Pearson Vue) Not sure if that’s important or not, but figured I’d add that. I WAS ROBBED AT GUNPOINT DONT COME HERE

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Since the day I tried getting enrolled the office staff have given me 1 answer but don’t tell me the other 9 that I need. Over and over again they’ll transfer me to somebody else just to be told they don’t take care of what I need and then transfer me to another person. They truly don’t know a single thing it’s ridiculous. I was robbed at gunpoint in the school parking lot and had my truck and everything inside stolen and not one person here cares. I’ve tried writing an appeal form because I was ROBBED here and I don’t feel that I should pay for 2 classes I was NEVER informed I’d have to take. It’s going on week 3 now and Ive tried numerous ways for them to get it but they “haven’t seen anything” and tell me to wait a few more days. When I wait a few more days I’m told the EXACT same thing. Just today I tried calling about it and the girl answered with an attitude and hung up on me. 86 THIS PLACE! stay 8 feet from the door or you will be 6 feet underground like...
