I have been part of Midtown neighborhood for over 6 years. I’m a massage therapist student and looking to source locally. I’m also spiritual and am a Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi Style MT. I am Covid Centered and POC too. I believe in combining Spirituality and Evidence Based Science. The outside looks amazing, so I thought after seeing it for so long I should check it out! The moment I walked in, I had an instantly bad vibe. The clerk seemed to stare me down and coldly asked, “What are you looking for?” No welcome in. And the other employees didn’t seem to acknowledge me, but just glance. I said I’m looking for Chinese Medicinal Herbs, and clerk said, “Well I don’t know what you’re looking for. We mostly have Western herbs.” , I asked what Chinese herbs they do have, and they named off a couple without saying the benefits of them. I then stated I’m looking for Chinese Herbal Tea. Cold aura. I quickly glanced at the shelf and noticed familiar names as I cook a lot with Asian ingredients. I also noticed the dogs, which though cute, is not sanitary for people allergic to dogs. I should have read the negative reviews before coming here. I noticed most of them are from Black / Latino POC and Covid Conscious people. OWNER : If you are sensitive to energy….DO NOT SHOP HERE. The owners ora is just flat out disturbing. Today was my second time in this store and after a year ended up walking out AGAIN. No matter how “cute” you try to make this place, you are still taking her energy home with you when buying from her.

DOGS : When walking in her two hairy rats ran up to me barking and she said nothing until I stood at the door staring at them. There is no warning or sign of any animals, so you don’t know if they will end up bitting you. They are not well trained and does not need to be in the same space as products ment for consumption. Who knows how much hair is actually in the jars with the product.

CLEANLINESS :

Not only are animals and their hair unsanitary to have in a place like this, but not having any sanitation protocol when handling the products. Without gloves, owner puts her hand (who knows what she has been touching outside the two dogs) right into the tea bag. She then too then dumped whatever access product was on the weight tray onto the floor and that was her cleaning it. Next she took the scooper that was just sitting randomly on the counter to scoop out and ounce worth of product. This will likely not be a problem for people like her, but for the people clean like me….this is nasty.
