This place has handled both of my grandparents viewing since they were placed in hospice and we were recommended to this place. My grandfathers was done very nicely. We appreciated everything. However, with my grandmothers it was a whole different story. I read reviews and wish we were serviced by Eddie instead of Rosa. Rosa lacks compassion. I understand that to her, this is just a job. But we lost a special family member. The way she explained to my mom and aunts (the daughters of the deceased) about how things were going to be done was very cold and heartless. It left a bad taste in their mouth. She acted like it was just any other packaged being delivered with no special care. At the end of the service we were kicked out of the place (understandable but not the way that it was done) and they told us to get out of the parking lot because they were closing This was maybe half an hour after the service. We quickly packed and left while trying to process the fact that we would never see my grandma again. I'm glad we won't ever have to use this place again. Please hire compassionate people to help grieving people get through...

I regret to say that our experience with Samaritan Funeral Home & Cremation was deeply distressing. We entrusted them with the care of my late father, only to face a series of heartbreaking oversights. After the cremation, we were devastated to receive an empty urn. Four hours later, they informed us that my father's ashes were not inside the urn we had been given. This was the urn my mother held tightly to during her four-and-a-half-hour journey home, believing it was her last chance to hold him close.

To add to our anguish, when they delivered the ashes the following day, we noticed a discrepancy between the number on the medallion accompanying the remains and the death certificate. They explained it as a typographical error on the initial death certificate and provided a new one, assuring us that these were indeed my father's remains. We can only hope and pray that we laid my father to rest during his funeral.

The emotional toll this ordeal has taken on our family is immeasurable. We expected compassion and professionalism during such a vulnerable time, but were left with doubt...

My brother passed away in Phoenix in mid-May. He had lived alone in Phoenix for the past 40 years, and the rest of the family is from Montana. Not knowing the Phoenix area, I wanted to find a funeral home close to the hospital where my brother passed. Samaritan was the first place I called, and right from the beginning I felt confident that they realized our situation and would take care of us. It took us 2 1/2 days to drive to Phoenix from Montana, but all along Brianna kept in contact with us, and we did alot of the paperwork through email. She always responded to our emails, even when it was after hours. When we arrived in Phoenix, unfortunately Brianna fell ill, but Cindy took over and never missed a beat! We were able to handle all of our brother's affairs, and were headed back to Montana (with our brother's remains) within 4 days.
