I had a very pleasant and positive experience working with Sun Valley Stereo and Ryan! Seeing all the reviews with them, I called them to get a quote on a radio install, steering wheel module install/manual program, and back up camera. The quote was really great and the same after everything was done, MUCH better than the quotes from Best Buy and other competitors. Being an impatient person, I wanted to get the install done asap and they were willing to work with my schedule. The day comes and I drop the car, they tell me it will probably start around 10am and finish sometime in the afternoon (est 2-3pm). They tell me that pervious experience with my car model took from store open until 2pm. Fast forward to afternoon, I get a call around 1-1:30pm saying it was ready for pick up! So props to finishing the job FASTER than anticipated! I came and picked up the car and the install on everything looks spot on and as if they never took the interior apart! The product looks like it was made to be part of the car and all functionality and quality surpassed my expectations! Nothing was damaged and everything from the quote till picking up my car was professional and efficient. Even the little details like USB and microphone location was well thought out, better than my previous experience with Best Buy (which was also good). Even my old equipment was neatly organized in my trunk and my manual/controller was ready for me when I first sat in the car! A little effort goes a long way and they are prime examples of this! I brought in my own equipment to be installed and got a great quote, I was told that the labor costs would be cheaper if you bought the equipment from them so definitely consider buying their products for an overall already great price! They have a lifetime warranty on their work so that brings me relief. Get this, my SO wanted to get something adjusted on her car while I was picking up mine, she was struggling with it because she didn't have the right tool and one of the pro installers came out and gave us a hand! How can it get better than that?! The people in here are great! Trust all the numerous positive reviews, I'm typically super cautious and consider even the few negative reviews. I worry if some reviews are fake! I took the chance based on the other reviews and they are accurate and this company is legit! I was referred to Sun Valley Stereo from a friend and was told to ask for Darryl. I made an appointment for Tuesday 8/25/15 at 9 AM. I arrived a little early and met with Ryan. I had a budget in mind and had an idea of what I was looking for. Ryan took the time to show me a number of speaker brands and I went with what Ryan suggested based on his experience. I also had a couple of 12 inch subs in a box along with a 1000 watt amp. Darryl hooked up my sub, my amp and installed all the new speakers - all said and done we came in under what I had budgeted. I never disclosed what my budget was out of fear we would perhaps magically arrive to what I had allocated to spend. They did not attempt to over sell me. They took my car in right away, estimated the install time around 3 hours and finished in about 2 hours. My sound system is clean, tight and beyond perfect. I look forward to doing additional work with them in regards to a backup camera and a dash cam. I understand why this business has been in place for over 30 years and with respect to me, I'll be a customer for life. I will never go anywhere else. After hearing a rattle in my speakers that sounded like at least two of them were blown, I started pricing new speakers for my car. Audio Express quoted me $500 for four speakers and since the doors would be opened up they were going to throw in the sound dampener material for free. Sounded legit until I realized there were 8 speakers in my car. Went to Best Buy and they were all together confused about what I needed. After doing some research I found Sun Valley was not only close to me but well reviewed. I called and talked to Ryan and he basically told me I didn't need new speakers. I took my car in and a few hours later had dampener in the doors and my original speakers sounding brand new. Apparently this is a known issue in my car. Sun Valley could have told me 1k for all new speakers and I would have paid, instead they did something that shocked me, they were honest.
