The building itself is a blink and you miss it. There was a sandwich board sign that says, "bagels this way" in front of a red tool shed store, right after a shopping plaza. It's a small roadway to get to the back building OR you can get to the building through 19th place. Either way, this place is worth it! The smell of dough permeates the air outside a white, almost-non-descript building with a basketball hoop and the name in big bold letters. If you enter through the double white doors, there is a table with left over, reduced priced, non sold items to the left and a little fridge where you pick up your cream cheese after you buy it. To your right, there is a little table and some chairs that looks like a mini waiting area. They have cook books to peruse and there's also a cold brew coffee tap (I didn't buy coffee but that could be good). We got an Asiago, two Cheddar Jalapeno, a raisin fennel and two everything bagels. They came warm out of the oven in a brown paper bag (reminding me of a local bakery near my childhood home in NJ), and the smell drove me nuts on the way home (not sure how I didn't try to sneak a taste). The homemade cream cheese is amazing, and the bagels are ridiculously good. They have a great chewy texture (the type where you can feel the crisp or snap of the bagel exterior when you bite in), and the interior bagel was soft and filled with flavor. I love the special touch where they have some flaked salt sprinkled on top. The bagels were just plain amazing. And the staff was friendly. 10/10 would recommend.

So do you remember the Pizza dude scene from the 1990 Ninja Turtles movie? The Dominoes delivery driver is looking for 122 1/8... trying to find Bagelfeld is a similar situation 😂. It's sandwiched between 2 buildings, the store is actually behind both of them. When walking up to their building you'll notice a sign to please park on the side street. I was looking for a great bagel and went over to Google's reviews where this place was high on the list. And it did not disappoint. An old store front or shop it has been transformed into a bagel shop. You walk in through the right side to order near the center and exit the left door to wait for your number to be called. By the time we arrived half of the bagels had sold out. We ordered two everything bagels, one with butter and the other with plain cream cheese. At the time they were out of everything bagels but a new batch would be out in 5 minutes. We joined the 8 other customers outside to wait. And magically in about 6 minutes the bagels were ready. The bagels come out of the oven basically toasted. After grabbing the bagel and taking the first bite this was an ASMR explosion. Super crispy and crackling on the outside and super fluffy on the inside. The best part was the amount of butter and cream cheese, this bagels were dripping! Average cost was about $3 per bagel. Definitely will be returning....this might be the best bagel in AZ!

Update. I went last Saturday super early to try and get the same bagel I had gotten when I first reviewed this restaurant and sadly my opinion of this place was changed for so many reasons. I had previously given a 5 star review for the food and the service. I had previously said my 2 hour round trip was worth going to this bagel shop but when I got there the person taking my order was rude and unkind. I saw that the olive bagel which I had gone for was gone. I have been to this location at least 20 times and it has never been available except that first time. I got a few bagels and was told that because it’s Saturday they won’t cut the bagel, toast it or put any creams with it. So now any spreads are a La cart. If your business only selling bagels and you would rather have more customers than do right by your customers then your greed has taken over. The staff are unhappy and now you have lost a customer. You are chasing the money and not standing behind your product and cutting corners. It’s sad and I know you will lose a lot of other customers if you keep this up. What is special is when you do things right. Sad.

1st time here this morning, and like some of the reviews states, get here early if you want your pick of all available daily options. I was too late (arrived at 9:30am for reference on a Saturday), and their daily special bagel was already sold out, along with asiago and one other one. Luckily for me, they still had plenty of all other classic options such as poppy, sesame, and everything. I ordered one to eat immediately, the everything w/ pepper garlic. Holy did it exceed my expectations. I'm from the south jersey, philly, nyc area. Been accustomed to east coast style/quality bagels all my life until I moved to the desert. I've been looking for these bagels for so long and was randomly re-inspired to search bagels again (after having given up for years xD). The bagels come out FRESHLY toasted and HOT. Amazing crunch for the exterior yet fluffy and soft on the inside. Just as it should be. For the cream cheese I picked, it was also TOP notch. The blend of jalapeño pepper, roasted garlic, tomato chunks, and onion just made this bagel PRIMO. They are also not skimpy on how much spread they slap on. I felt like it was enough for 2-3 bagels tbh. Man, if you like a lighter amount, please request that when ordering or just grab a tub of their CC individually to spread at home. Also, if you're picky about what is inside your CC, please ask them or inquire. Because I was not expecting tomato or onion in mine since it is just named, pepper garlic. It was a definite pleasant surprise to me but I can see how some others may have been turned off by raw onion, etc. I also picked up sesame and poppy bagels for the rest of the week. Unfortunately, I picked up CC from my last grocery shopping session or else I definitely would have also purchased of one theirs. I can't wait to spread the word of this place to other east coast bagel snob transplants I know (no gatekeeping here!). Also, some of the reviews posted prior states that they ONLY serve bagels and CC, no beverages. This is no longer the case, and during my visit, they now offer limited coffee, juice, and...
