Please look at the "positive reviews" here, they are all CLEARLY factitious. They all say basically the same thing, are written the same way, and mention the same "helpful" employes by their correctly spelled names over and over. If you've ever read a group of REAL reviews, you know that review style varies greatly from person to person. Some long, some short, some with good grammar, others not so much, etc. Please look at their Yelp page, as yelp has a much higher algorithm for weeding out FAKE reviews and where this location has a pitiful 1.5 stars and scathing messages.
It's too late for us but please, please do not do business with this location. That deal you think you are getting? Complete trap to get your unit full of things so you would have to pay hundreds to switch facilities. They substantially up your costs once they have you helpless. I understand the concept of an introductory price. Yes, I've heard of them before. But we were absolutely not told in any shape or form and still can not find mention of it in their ads. It is extremely hard to find because they do not want you to know about it. If we had known, we would have went with a moderate, permanent price elsewhere.
YOU WILL END UP PAYING MORE THAN THEY MAKE YOU BELIEVE AND YOU WILL NOT KNOW UNTIL THE MONEY IS OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT. DO NOT RENT HERE! FINANCIAL...
Read moreI must say that The manager Kevin should not be the Store Manage. Kevin is very combative with customers. I spoke to him regarding a concern I had, and during our conversation he at no time tried to satisfy his customer. He was accusatory and he wasted no time to tell me that I could speak to his boss about any concerns I had. Clearly he did not care to attempt to engage in dialogue in hopes to remedy my concerns. It was clear to me that he needed to "WIN". As a customer I felt like an intruder, Extra Space has yet to exceed any matters of customer service.
I have too add a comment, so I left this space because the rate was increased from $115 to $225, I get it the contract states that. So I gave notice and moved out. Durning the time from the price increase notice until my last day in the space online the price showed no higher than $165 for that size unit. Well today I looked and it's $115 for a 10x10 and I just moved out on the 10th. It's so sad that the market rate caused the increase however the web site never showed that current market rate. It's funny that it is still the rate that I had. Being disabled, the move was very hard for me , and only stayed there for 3 months due to the rate increase. This too me speaks to other motives for the increase, it...
Read moreEDIT - I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO CALL YOU NICE CANNED ANSWER. YEAH GIVE ME SOME COMPENSATION FOR MY STOLEN TOOLS. IT'S BAD ENOUGH I'D HAVE TO TAKE AN UBER OVER THERE TO PICK UP A CHECK. ALSO YOU CALL ME I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO CALL YOU. Horrible company. Had my tools stored there for a few years they got stolen. Horrible security. I'm disabled, but they still want me to come in bring pictures of my tools which I don't have. It was only a few hundred dollars worth of tools. Who takes pictures of their tools? Why else would I get a storage unit if I didn't have anything to put in it? Since I'm paying them for their own security insurance they should handle everything themselves, especially for somebody that's disabled and can't get around that easy. There are many other storage places that provide better service I've been with one for 30 years called Nova storage. I would try them first...
