Magic Bakery — Restaurant in Pico Rivera

Discovered this little gem in Pico Rivera. This little store is owned by a husband and wife who have been here for many years. The store front isn't the nicest but didn't judge.

There is nothing that they can't do with cakes and they do it well. You show them a picture and let them know what your budget is and they make it happen. They are innovative and creative with their ideas and value each one of their customers no matter how much you spend.

My daughter wanted a chocolate chanel cake for her 18th birthday. Other places cost a small fortune because of thr detail and time it takes. This place was half the price and the cake was beautiful and soooooo good.

Let's start with the details on the outside of the cake. The cake looked like it was covered in fondant but it was icing (not too sweet) and the piping looked liked buttons had been placed on the cake.

Now for the good stuff. This was a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse. Oh my word! The cake was moist and not too rich. The mousse paired well with the cake. It was divine! The chocolate was well balanced and my taste buds were thanking me for it.

I would give this place 5 stars for the cake alone it was very delicious, much better then most. My sister recommended the bakery to me so I tried it. I will not be going back. The place was so dusty, so cluttered you can hardly make it to the cash register. Two women came in to pick up a cake and we had to jam ourselves up against the wall just to let them by. Plus there cake order was wrong, the customer was furious and to my surprise the owner got furious right back at her. Her cake was decorated wrong, he yelled at her so loud I think my neighbors heard him and I live 5 miles away 😨😱 so here I learned the customer is not always right. The cakes are delicious every time. The owners are sweet and asked what you like. For my parents wedding anniversary I dropped by to get them a cake and it turned our extra cute because they had wedding cake toppers and the lady helped me choose the cutest one that had a 90s vibe because my parents got married in the early 90s :).
