I love Peruvian cuisine, and this is one of the best Peruvian restaurants that I have visited. I was looking for a new Peruvian restaurant online and was happy to come across El Tondero which is not too far from where I live. I stopped by for lunch one day and have been hooked ever since. On my first visit I order the lomo saltado, lengua a lo macho, & leche de tigre. Everything was delicious, the only reason I didn’t eat the plate was because I would have been charged for it. The lomo saltado was cooked to perfection, as was the lengua a lo macho. The food was perfectly seasoned, and the portions were large. The leche de tigre was the best ceviche I have ever had. I’m Mexican and love mariscos, I have to say that this leche de Tigre is my new favorite fresh seafood dish. The marinade was perfectly acidic, and the slightly sweet hominy or corn paired very well with the acidity of the marinade and the fresh red onion. If you haven’t visited El Tondero, or if you are looking to try something new and delicious, make sure to pay them a visit. Also, don’t forget to leave a review; support...
Read moreI love this place! Their pricing is reasonable and their green salsa is amazingly delicious. They don't serve bread like other Peruvian places and for me thats importante, but you don't miss it here! Rarely are the saltados taste not on point. Rarely is their food salty or have no flavor at all... but idc....I'm hungry.. Their portions are more than enough and they are not stingy with their green salsa or food portions. Their Jalea is fire!! So yummy. A definite try!
I like to order when a man picks up the phone. The female lady doesn't know the menu very well nor does she sound like she wants to be there. She's pregnant so that could be it. Customer service is everything to me and if they are reading this put the customer on hold so I don't have to hear her yell across the field lol. Overall, you guys are great and keep up the good work. See you guys soon. And upload a better menu. Show us how the...
Read moreNow I will be honest I have tried many Peruvian restaurants because since my wife is Peruvian she likes to try different spots to see which one tastes more like home and this place is very good, is it as good. Well no, but it sure is very delicious and recommended anyone to try this location because. One, it’s a bit more affordable than other areas, also there Lomo Saltado is pretty good. Two, the service is awesome, the lady who works here is very kind and loving and we really appreciate that.
The only thing that we were a bit indifferent was the Ceviche. Why? Well every place we have tried the ceviche was a lot more colder. What I mean by that is. Well nobody likes warm raw fish, it tastes weird, not bad but it was weird. So beyond that, the causa and...
