Washington Pollo Loco is closed, but I want to use my coupon, go here, and yet they pile up even more reasons for me to avoid this location: Prices are higher here than the Washington Blvd location The prices were even higher on my receipt than on their drive-thru menu! I got home and didn't want to drive 4 miles back for the tortillas they forgot (for my combo meal) Management feels everyone only likes the hot spicey avocado salsa; no tomato salsas here at 6:45pm
The supervisor who declined my $450 Pollo Loco gift card in February 2021 was there. Since he didn't get fired or demoded, keep him with the closing hours.
FEBRUARY 2021 - The employees get 5 stars, the food gets 5 stars, management gets -10, so one star is generous overall.
I'd planned to use a dinner-for-2 coupon with an upgrade for my friend, then enjoy the food with her. We'd planned to meet at my home, so timing was important. I ordered at 5:45 to be home at 6pm.
This is the 4th time my gift card did not work at this location (I showed them the $271 balance receipt, one week old). I asked them to contact Daniel (manager), who'd promised me after the first instance that he would "take care of this."
The supervisor then taught the window employee how to argue with a customer, telling me Daniel could not be reached and to pay money - in a raised voice!
So, Daniel did not take care of the problem, and his supervisor taught an employee to demand money when the meal was paid for up-front, months ago. He taught me not to buy El Pollo Loco gift cards for myself, and especially not for friends.
When I cancelled the order, I told the employee she had done a fine job, but not to copy her supervisor's rude behavior with customers.
I rushed to another location, where the gift card worked. Because the supervisor's raised voice had upset me, I arrived without the coupon - I'd left it at the Pico Rivera location. The lost time made me late for meeting my friend. I got home at 6:15 and she was wondering where I was.
Pick your El Pollo Loco locations carefully. Your gift cards should always work, and no supervisor should raise his voice demanding money in front of his employee when the meal was...

Yesterday evening I went into El Pollo Loco and ordered a tostada salad thru the drive thu window. When I got home I opened up my food and realized that it had wax paper in it. I called El Pollo Loco and asked to speak to the manager (Renee). I explained to him the situation and he told me to come back today and he would take care of my order. So, I go back today and the manager (Renee) did not even want to take the time to talk to me. He pawned off one of the workers to talk to me instead while continuing to have his back to me. When he finally turned around he was extremely rude, and did not want to make eye contact with me. Additionally, they couldn't even get the order right the second time. Finally, when my girlfriend voiced her concern about the danger of anyone swallowing wax paper, his response was, "oh, well! You just got a bad batch, it happens!" Read more4 times doing the same thing,,, i ordered 16 pieces through uber app when i picked up my order there's no salsa inside so i asked the manager, please give me some salsas and he gave me 4 small salsas for 6 people , i asked him for more than 4 and he said no because the salsa is for free but actually im paying for it in the app it said is included in the order and this person is claiming the salsa is free so because of that he's refused to give to anyone he wanted. this totally is wrong ,im paying for the salsas on the pictures is the proof,i definitely do not recommend this location to anyone, never again i will order to this location BAD...
