Dollar General — Local services in Pigeon Forge

Living only a few minutes from this location is very convenient. Unfortunately i have seen a large decline in the store since moving here 3 years ago. A store that was once very clean, organized and filled with friendly and helpful staff has now become a less than pleasent visit. The staff seams over worked and appear very irritated to say the very least when called upon for help. Many of the shelves are bare and most if not all aisle ways are littered with large boxes and carts. I usually enjoy finding small treasures for an amazing prize around christmas but was very dissapointed last year when almost all items labeled christmas on large brown delivery boxes where laid un-opened on shelves. When i asked an associate for help she said, "im not allowed to open the boxes up high because my store manager has to give approval." I also went in for my sons birthday to get large hellium balloons. They were not only out of all but a few but seemed very put out when asked to make them. I only express my opinion in hopes the right person will see this and make some positive changes. I love the convenience of the store being so close to my home and hope to be able to...

This is my wife’s account, but I’m a local who comes into the dollar store almost every day. I was coming in to get a snack and it was about 9:48 pm. When I walked in the door, this lady who I believe her name was Terry Was super rude and rolled her eyes and said “she was about to lock the doors” I still proceeded in being nice to her and telling her I’ll be real quick. About two minutes later she starts clapping her hands at me, screaming to hurry up. I then asked her If she was joking because I couldn’t believe how rude she was being to me a (customer). She then proceeded to tell me that no she wasn’t joking and that I needed to hurry up . I told her well now I guess I’ll take my time then and she told me she was calling the police on me. I’ve never seen someone so rude. This isn’t the first time that I’ve heard her be rude Everyone I know that goes into the dollar store in wears Valley says the same thing how rude she is. And also as I’m leaving, which at this time, it’s probably 952 Another customer had pulled in to grab something quick and she showed them away at the front door and told him it was closed even though it was about 10 minutes...

This is the worse place! The old man Leon is the slowest cashier I have ever seen!! Then there's a lady with arm in sling that just wants to talk even when there's a lines down the isle. They'll be people stocking and literally just watching the line get longer and longer and no one offers to open another register! ! Customers service is out the window and the people working seem to have no clue when you ask a question! There is always someone stocking although the store is always cluttered with boxes blocking isles. My husband went in today saw a stack of cast iron pans in the 25-50% off , he asked cashier and she acted like she had no idea they were on sale, she said they were regarding price, he told her maybe someone should move them and she looked at him like she had no clue what he meant.
