Nestled in the heart of Wears Valley, this new burger joint has quickly become a local favorite. We owned a cabin here for years and now come back for vacations annually. This area has desperately needed a restaurant of this type and on our most recent visit, we were excited to give the Sloppy Hog Burger Joint a try.
Specializing in a trifecta of American comfort foods—pizza, wings, and burgers—this place brings a vibrant culinary scene to our community.
Upon entering, you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for a casual outing. Seating options inside and out are convenient for any mood. The outdoor porch offers gorgeous views of the Tennessee mountains.
The menu boasts a variety of options, but the stars of the show are undoubtedly the burgers and wings. The chicken sandwiches, juicy and perfectly seasoned, are a hit among patrons, offering a delightful crunch with every bite.
The wings are another standout, cooked to perfection and smothered in a tantalizing sauce that strikes the perfect balance between spicy and sweet. They’re served with a side of creamy coleslaw, chopped small and sweet, providing a refreshing contrast to the heat of the wings.
Not to be overlooked are the sides. The onion rings, thin and crispy, are a fantastic complement to any meal, seasoned just right to keep you coming back for more. Their well-seasoned crunch is addictive and pairs excellently with the main courses.
For those in the mood for a slice, the pizza here doesn't disappoint. Freshly made with a variety of toppings, each bite bursts with flavor, making it a must-try.
In summary, this new eatery is a fantastic addition to Wares Valley, conveniently located between Pigeon Forge and Townsend. The friendly staff, cozy setting, and mouth-watering food make it a spot we’re stoked to have. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and enjoy a meal that’s...
Read moreLet me start by saying, everyone was friendly here.
I came in with 4 adults and 2 children and we were seated right away. The chairs were incredibly uncomfortable, my Mother in Law almost went to the car to eat becasue they were so bad and there were no other chair options. Think bar chairs but metal and very small.
My father in law and I both ordered a burger, my wife a pulled pork. I took two bites if my burger and stopped immediately, something was not right l. My father in law are half of his and was ill the rest of the evening.
The pulled pork was pork with a side of bbq sauce.
All items came with French fries which were unevely seasoned with what I guess to be season all or something like it, overall it was not a good place to eat. Spent 90$ on 4 adult meals and 1 child meal would not go back.
The 1 kids meal we got was a kids pizza which looked completely different than the adult pizza which was nice and fluffy looking(we saw others with adult pizza) but the kids pizza was super thin, kind if reminded me od a frozen food microwave pizza.
One thing I noticed is the large amount of flies in the restaurant, and you could see right into the kitchen and they were flying all over the place.
Air Conditioner was set real high so it was also very hot.
Our server was nice, patient. We had a long day in the s Smokies and were starving and this was something we saw driving in, we didn't like it at all.
Were baffled by the amount of great reviews here we looked before we went, we definitely wont stop here again on our...
Read moreWhile on vacation in Sevierville, TN, we dined at the Sloppy Hog Burger Joint on Wears Valley Road. In our party of five, four of us got the Sloppy Original ( Smashed patties) with Cheese. One member of our group got the Red Hot Sloppy Burger, which is where they dip the burger patties in their wing sauce. All the burgers were great! Several got the French fries as a side, while others got the onion rings or Cole slaw. Everyone was very pleased with their food and said they would go back. But unfortunately, there were a few minus. We got there at around 7 pm and the entrances and the parking lot are both very dimly lit. No problem for a young person, but for older adults not a good thing. Once inside, there are only a few booths. Everything else is a pub table with the tall chairs. Sorry to say this, but not very comfortable to enjoy your meal. And the lighting inside is also very dim. Had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu. But the worst thing was when our waiter (who did an excellent job) informed us that they had sweet tea but no unsweetened tea. How is it possible not to have unsweetened tea these days? As a diabetic, this was a real bummer. Coke Zero was our only option. But the food was delicious and I highly recommend it. I will just make sure to go during the...
