Food Lion — Local services in Pilot Mountain

Unfortunately my trip here was okay until an employee decided to invade my privacy. As you all know thieves in stores have ultimately caused this. Now everyone, yes even old grandma is guilty until proven innocent. I go in and spend our hard earned cash, and can't even have privacy to check out my groceries and im talking about turning the volume down on the machine that lists every single thing you scan and how much youre paying for it, I guess this employee thought because we turned the volume down ut was okay to come walking over and throw her arms in front of us and push buttons on the machine while we were swiping our card. This particular employee should be re-evaluated for the way they treat the customers. Employees everywhere in these stores need to stop the PROFILING! Take a look at your pathetic selves! UPDATE: I am so disappointed this continued to happen. Employees at this food lion profile people. Do you like checking out your groceries with someone staring at you the entirety of the time? Staring in general is rude. If you cannot do your job without being rude find another employment. Let's get real for a minute. Society is fearful of everything, thanks to fear mongering. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be mindful of how you treat people. Let's even go back to the golden rule for a second here, food lion employees, would you like to be profiled and judged for the way you look? I could sit here and do the same thing to you as you have done to me, difference is I know thus behavior is wrong and was raised to know better. You should be ashamed as to how some of you treat people. Learn to respect people, learn to treat people as you want to be treated. It's pretty sad I'm having to tell you this when your parents should have...

I worked here at this Food Lion for about a year, it didn't take long for me to become one of the hardest workers there! Although the only people to have noticed are the customers and fellow Coworkers, I lost my job a few days ago due to the Manager Tina, there have been extensive reports of many people leaving or being let go because of her, she takes around 4 cigarette breaks a day and barely helps out like a manager should, she is unfit to be a manager and it baffles me that she still is, I now have no place to work but I have hardwork and dedication waiting to be put to the test, other then that 1 manager everyone was friendly and I had no problems with them, I've worked in multiple departments and I've seen at least 2 live cockroaches in the store! 1 in the breakrook and one in the backroom, the meat department stays clean but Produce has a problem maintaining their cleanliness as well, I am highly disappointed that they never asked me for my side of the story and therefore will never be going here again! IVE QUITE LITERALLY PUT BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS INTO THIS JOB AND GOT...

I can't add less then 1 star here..but I was treated like a fool by Vicky W.when I tried to checkout, she didn't stop telling me the new rules of the store were after checkout I needed to use the big cart instead the small one , I had only 3 products in my cart, plus I have shoulders and arm health issues...she wanted me to lift my pocket book to look under it, like I was going to still something and lots of people went out and she never check them....The price of one of my item was not showing the sale price,but already paid for it, she ask another person to come and they didn't believe me and went on the back of the store and came back and said I was right,nobody did apologized and Vicky told now she can't go out the register, it was new rules at that store, like changing from a small cart to a big one when I got only 3 items...I can go on and on...but that girl doesn't need to work around people...I go to Food Lion in Pilot mountain,NC and I lived here all my life and never be treated infront people like this...PLEASE FOOD LION MAKE BETTER CHOICES WHEN YOU HIRE...
