Saved me from the cold and launched a major plan of action for me. I am going through a medical situation and I was put on quarantine and treated like a selfish problematic resident and I don't feel like I was accepted into the group of people there and I fought to maintain my commitment to them. However, because I was written up for not wearing shoes over my socks and wound up chewing tobacco having overlooked the whole rules that prohibited smoking... Well also there posted that you are not allowed to chew tobacco either and that was the nail in my stay at the shelter which is a little too irrational and I have resentments of biased treatment for my routine and easy going nature which invited unwanted rule scolding when I had not violated any rule. I was dealt with unfairly but I'm sure they have helped other more inviting folks then I so wish they were in a more open state of...

This place is overall a great shelter with private rooms and great meals that are provided by volunteers and local restaurants. The community donates so much to this place, it's so awesome. The director and most of the staff are really nice and helpful but there's not a lot of resources or assistance to get back on your feet and being self sufficient.
