First steak hoagie from them on a Friday 6/21/2024 it was delicious!! I order a total of 4 subs two steak two Italian.The guy who made it told me it was his last day, I didn’t think anything of it…he was polite, quick and made sure he didn’t miss anything. Fast-forward to 6/26/2024 I went again told my husband how great the subs were and that he should try it. Let’s just say things were not the same. It was a different cook she rushed my food, the steak was not seasoned at all, the lettuce was soggy it was horrible!! I called Hanini Subs to advise how poorly the subs were made and explained what was wrong with both subs!! To my surprise I was told nothing was wrong with my sandwich, and if I wanted to come all the way back to the store he would show me the lettuce that was used and that he made the sandwich like I ask him but he did not make my sandwich it was a lady who made the subs who may have been in training!! I used to go here about 3-4 times a week. I would get a cold turkey sandwich for my wife and a hot pastrami sandwich for myself. Usually the food is excellent. However the last time I got my pastrami sandwich the woman sliced it on their slicer and served me all grissle and fat. I actually gave the sandwich to my dogs. I couldn't even eat it. I called the store and asked if they could make me another sandwich and the guy running the store gave me a hard time and said they couldn't do anything about it. Now ya see.. I'm a chef. That's what I do for a living. All they have to do is throw away the grissle and fat, like MOST PEOPLE. On the small loaves of meat that they get there really isn't that much to throw away so it's not like they would be losing out on profit. I couldn't believe with as often as I go there that they wouldn't atleast make me another sandwich. The guy was very rude and I hung up the phone. I will NEVER go back for anything!! I used to swear by this place,recommending it to coworkers and out of town visitors, even frequently visiting myself. But after getting FOOD POISONING for the 2ND TIME I will NOT be returning. The first time was from a gyro, so giving them the benefit-of-the-doubt I decided to get a corned beef sandwich and it happened again. It must be the lettuce or whatever produce they put on the gyros and corned beef. I know I got the poisoning from here considering this was the only thing i ate that day that I don't typically eat daily and the fact that their food made me sick before.
