I have been dealing off and on with this guy since the 90's. He's always been kind of rude. I haven't bought anything from him in years. So I saw a model on his website and decided to order it. It had a pickup option for shipping so I clicked it. Paid for it then called to see if it was ok to swing by. He said rudely "That's not the way it works." So I asked "Well, how does it work?" He said I have to make an appointment but he's not even sure he has it in stock. Nope. He says it will be here in September. Fine says I.
So September rolls around and I get a call. Its in stock you want to come get it? "Sure" says I. Ill swing by Tuesday. So I call. No answer but a swell 20 minute recording comes on. Eventually it says theyre open until 4. So I drive out there and find the place. Looks closed up. I check the door. It's open. I walk in. I see someone in the office and say "Hello". He walks out and rudely says, "You have to wait outside!" OK. At this point I figure you know what? I have to much self esteem to be ran around and takked to rudely. So I just left. I will never buy another item from here if he offered me his entire inventory for $1. I will quit the hobby first. If you have any self respect, stear clear.
Update. Now he charged my card anyway probably because he saw my review. Super shady business....

I have to say that I really appreciate how they work hard to help out their customers AND offer some of the best and hard-to-find items! The thing to remember about this type of store and the merchandise they carry is that, while they keep as much as they can in stock, much of what they offer is in the process of being created and/or only available for preorder, which they note in the description. Many of the items are developed and manufactured by individual artist creators. For me, that makes it even more special. The other thing I love about this store, is that they will work hard to accommodate special requests if they can. I recently ordered two books for our grandson's graduation a bit later than I should have. I asked if they could possibly make sure they arrived in time for his celebration. Low and behold, they did. And on the enclosed receipt, they had specifically marked and circled "Rush." I thanked them, and received a personal reply from the owner acknowledging that. Now, this doesn't mean that they can handle very request, but in my experience, they certainly will...
Read moreI used to buy a lot of cool stuff from here. On my last order, i ordered multiple items over $200. One small item was missing. I contacted customer service and was basically treated like either a fool or scam artist. I was told their packing slip showed all items were in the box and to check again. Really, like I'm too stupid to notice whether a box is empty or not. So I just ordered another of the same item and let it go. I may try them again in the future, but for now I just see what's cool on their E-mails and try to buy elsewhere. For what it's worth.
