Words cannot express how grateful I am to Randy and Eddie for helping my 84 year old mother and 81 year old father in their time of need. Now my mother can sleep in a real bed and no longer has to sleep in her recliner as she recovers from pneumonia! More companies should follow REM bed’s exemplary example of customer service!
When I discovered that my mother, recently recovering from pneumonia, had been sleeping in her recliner for the past week after her hospital discharge, I immediately contacted my siblings and we pitched in to purchase her a REM bed. Having owned a REM bed for the last two years, I was certain that both of my parents would love it as much as my husband and I do.
Upon contacting REM, the owner, Randy Maddix, actually picked up the phone. Impressive! Randy offered to send both the Paradise (medium firm) and the Martinique (medium soft) models to my parents so they could try both and make an informed decision as to which model each of them preferred. Randy stepped up and expedited the delivery due to my mother’s health situation. Awesome customer service!
Eddie Karban was the delivery person. He did an excellent job going above and beyond to deliver the bed in a timely manner! He set up the beds very efficiently and quickly, explaining how the bed and the remote controls worked to my parents. When Eddie left, my parents felt confident they knew everything they needed to know about the bed. He and my father got along really well, too. This is amazing because my father is really wary about letting strangers into his home. Well done, Eddie!
After the REM bed is delivered, my father shared, "This bed is very comfortable. I woke up after the first night sleeping on it and my back didn't hurt! I love this bed!" He is very adverse to change, so this is amazing! Unfortunately, my mother felt that her side of the bed was too soft. My mother tried the firmer side and really liked it!
Once again, I called Randy and let him know that my mother preferred the same model as my father. Randy didn’t hesitate and offered immediately to replace my mother’s side with the new model that she preferred.
RESULTS: My parents love their new REM bed! My mother likes the zero gravity position with her head raised more and my father likes the snore position. My father noticed that my mother is not getting up as much during the night because she can breathe easier and is more comfortable sleeping.

   Read moreR.E.M. is by far the best personal touch furniture places I’ve ever encountered. We attended a Riverside Showroom were R.E.M. was showcasing their beds. My husband and I were not looking for a bed but had talked about buying one down the line at some point. We saw Rick, salesman covering during the time of our visit. It was nice because unlike other salesmen he not once pressured us into buying anything, just test the bed it sells itself. Unlike many sales claims I had little hope of that but Mr feet did need a break.
He wasn’t kidding! We laid down and literally we couldn’t believe the level of comfort. We thought maybe we were just tired and getting off our feet was all we needed. Nope nope nope! It was the bed for us. We of course had to buy the bed. Rick helped us fill out the papers to just put a hold down.
We were soon in contact with the owner, Richard. Richard is by far the nicest guy you will ever meet. I wish there was more like him. He’s a man of his word, integrity and character. Questions were answered within a timely manner. And nothing was to great for his customers. He hooked us up with sheets, pillows and a head board for our new amazing bed.
Arrangements were made, and we were soon to be proud parents of this amazing bed. It finally arrived, a few days later than we expected. The delivery team gave a white glove service. Mind you, we purchased items from Lazyboy and paid for the “white glove” and this delivery team superseded Lazyboy. They set up our bed, made sure everything was working and that we were happy.
Our first night was by far the greatest sleep we had had in a long time. Still to this day, I couldn’t have been more happier with this purchase. If anyone says negative comments about this company or man, don’t believe them. Richard prides himself in customer service and making sure his customers are happy. If they ain’t happy, he ain’t happy and he will make it right.

   Read moreThis review will help you decide if you want to go through the hassle and frustration of ordering and eventually receiving your new REM bed. The process is not a three to four week process as is described when you are being sold this bed. It took us over 2 months to receive our split king and that was with a lot of calls to the company and owner. Once it was finally delivered there was only one delivery guy to carrie the very heavy Reverie bed frames up to the second level of our home. So I got to help get it all up there. Not exactly the white glove service that was explained to us at the show! At this posting now 3 months after purchase we have yet to receive the bedding that was promised to us several times by the delivery person and the owner. Also be aware of the remotes. One of ours did not charge properly and became very very hot to the touch. I contacted Reverie and I will say they were very quick to send out a replacement charger. Overall not a pleasent purchase and if they had not had the no refund clause we would have canceled this order. The bed is very nice once you get it but what a painful process. Oh, and still waiting to get the bedding! Which is kind of a big deal for this multi function bed regular bedding does not work well.
Update: The owner of the company contacted me today with explanation and apology. Assuring me this is not the norm for his company and promised to make it right. The rest of our items...
